6 reviews for Scotty’s Brewhouse
| WabashMan (28), Noblesville, Indiana | | December 3, 2009 Decent food and a respectable beer list is a sports bar type atmosphere, but the real problem for Scotty’s is the price. Everything seems to cost about $2 more than it should, and that can add up in a hurry. One bonus for some is that this is a non-smoking establishment in a city where laws against public smoking are just beginning to gain traction so, if you can’t stand the smoke of a bar, this might be a good option for you. | | kazzell (10), Indiana | | December 1, 2009 great deals on their pint night! Decent selection well rotated stock. nice outdoor smoking area kept the bar from being to smokey. Great place for a group outing well vetted staff. | | Illini08 (34), Raleigh, North Carolina | | January 21, 2008 Stopped by Scotty’s for lunch while making a beer run to Indy for HopSlam. Pretty large place, very clean, waited about 15 mins to get a table during the lunch-hour rush. Lot’s of beers on tap, even more in bottles. I was primarily interested in the Bell’s beers they had on tap, since I’m from IL. Only three Bell’s beers to choose from, but one of them was two hearted ale, so I was happy. Pretty big and impressive menu. Excellent burgers. Fairly quick service, but our server wasn’t too happy to be there. Overall I’m glad I grabbed lunch here. | nimrod (4), does not count - explanation | | January 21, 2008 After our planned restaurant of the day was closed, we found Scotty’s Brewhouse right by the Hop Shop. It did not have as big of a beer selection as Hot Shotz grill, but we drank happily to Bells Two Hearted Ale. The food was expensive but very good. Our server wasn’t happy, but he checked back often. It was tasty, just too expensive for a poor college student. | tomhenderson (2), Carolinas area, does not count - explanation | | December 5, 2006 I was impressed with Scotty’s. Once I found the place (across from the Nissan dealership), I was greeted by friendly staff in a non-smoking atmosphere. The food menu offered a variety of choices at great prices. The spirits menu was similar with 30+ beers on tap plus 40+ in bottles. Rumor has it that Scotty wants to open in Charlotte. I hope it happens on the south side as I’ll definitely patronize it frequently! | | atpayne (28), Zionsville, Indiana | | December 1, 2006 A large new bar on the north side of Indy, in close proximity to the Hop Shop and Kahn’s Carmel. Over 20 beers on tap, including some good midwest micros from Bell’s, Upland, and others. Also bottles like Three Floyd’s, Bell’s, Upland, and some British imports. Large menu of sufficiently unique burgers, chicken, sandwiches, and wraps and the atmosphere is nice with brick walls, a large bar and bar seating area and then flat screen TV’s at each table in the dining area. Also has a small lounge area that is open until 3am. The staff seems to be rather new as it just opened, but they appear to be getting the hang of serving better beer. |
