5 reviews for Shallos Antique Restaurant
| tjthresh (77), Greenfield, Indiana | | May 29, 2009 This place is pretty cool. Loads of taps with some cool seasonal stuff. Can be hard to find. Hard to get service when they are busy. Still worth a stop. | | sigma23 (10), , Maine | | April 4, 2009 heard a lot of hype about this place. when i finally found it tucked away, i went in and it was empty. i was expecting more of a bar atmosphere, and got TGI fridays. ok so lets see the beer list. great, about 200 brews on the list. problem is they dont give you price, size, or avalibility so you spend 20 minutes asking if they have what you want and how expencive it is. value is very poor with a 11.2oz btl of tripple k selling for $10, where i can easily get a 22oz from the store for $10. if your going to spend some cash and enjoy a fairly quiet place, they have good food. just isnt worth all the hype in my opinion, and i was very upset how the beer list doesnt give any information other then beers they do, or HAVE had. probably wont go back anytime soon | | EithCubes (76), Indiana | | July 7, 2008 Shallo’s, after a 10-minute search through the seemingly endless and interconnected lookalike strip malls of Greenwood, revealed itself to be one of those typical Tiffany Lamp setups next to a pottery store, with a good beer list full of typos and absent of anything rare. Service was cheerful, parking was plentiful, and the food was good, but there’s nothing here that can’t be gotten at nearby Party Pak, a three-minute drive if you hit the lights. | | jcr (13), Jasper, Indiana | | March 6, 2008 Excellent restaurant and bar. Nice selection of both regional, national and foreign beers on tap when we stopped by — not to mention an extensive list of bottled beer. In fact, a big part of the ambiance is the beer that is stored all over the place in old wooden cabinets. Hence the name, one assumes. That and antique beer memorabilia. Our server was enthusiastic about beer. The food was very good. Great find. | gmcase (5), Indiana does not count - explanation | | July 1, 2007 Good place to eat. Excellent french onion soup, wings, fish sandwich.
Many, many bottles and 20+ intresting brews on tap. |
