bretupdegraff (1), Fishers, Indiana does not count | | August 14, 2008 This is my Lowe’s! I love this place. The staff has always been very helpful, knowledgeable and freindly. Everything (I think) is available in singles. What better shopping cart than an empty six pack box. | | derekbang (10), Indiana | | July 26, 2008 Great selection and friendly staff. Great for tasting - most beers are available in singles and you can make your own discounted six pack so you’re not stuck with something you don’t like. Great place. | nimrod (4), does not count | | January 21, 2008 Made the trip with Illini08 to pick up a variety of Stone, Bells, FFF, and DFH. There was nothing fancy about the location or store, just neatly organized and easy to find everything. The staff was helpful when asked and you receive a discount on bulk purchases. Since Champaign does not receive much FFF and no Bells, I may frequent The Hop Shop for my beer essentials. | | Illini08 (32), Raleigh, North Carolina | | January 21, 2008 Made a special trip to The Hop Shop to pick up some Bell’s HopSlam. Talked to Courtney on the phone and he gladly held a case of it for me in the back for a day and a half. Very nice, clean and well laid out store. Beer on one side, wine and spirits on the other, decent sized cooler along the back wall. Good selection of Bell’s, Stone, Flying Dog, FFF, DFH, a couple from Thirsty Dog, plenty of others as well. Staff was very friendly. If I’m ever in Indy again, I will go back. | | WabashMan (23), Noblesville, Indiana | | October 19, 2007 I always enjoy a shop that will allow you to buy anything as a single, which this one will. The selection was good, though not too adventurous. A nice store. | | OhioDad (38), Hilliard, Ohio | | May 4, 2007 Stopped in here on the way to DLD. Nice little shop with everything in it available via singles. They give a discount when you mix a 6 and a better discount if you mix 12. Nice space between the rows and it is really laid out good to see what you want. A nice stop for some indiana locals if you are coming through the area. | jcr (8), Jasper, Indiana does not count | | February 25, 2007 Nice selection and knowledgable staff would be enough to get The Hop Shop a good rating. The bonus is that it is well laid out and well lit which is great for browsing. Six-packs sit alongside the individual bottles of a particular beer rather than singles being in one place and six-packs in another. Discounts on case purchases including mixed cases. As good as the selection is, I didn’t run into any beer that I would consider an unusual or rare find for Indiana. But maybe I didn’t look hard enough. Worth the trip. | | Optigon (41), Bloomington, Indiana | | January 15, 2007 Excellent service, huge selection, knowledgible staff! Excellent liquor store. Prices can be kind of iffy, but that’s the nature of a larger city.
Very roomy space with a wide and varied selection. | | vyvvy (22), Hazelwood, Missouri | | September 6, 2006 Well organized store with room to move around. All of the beers are available as six packs and singles - there is a savings by buying by the six packs. Staff was friendly and helpful. Local beers are well represented as well as having good regional and national craft beers. Prices seemed about average for other shops in the Indianaplis area. They also had a nice selection of hot sauces that I will look into on my next trip through. Worth checking out. | NewCastle1 (2), Indiana does not count | | March 6, 2006 Well, the good thing about The Hop Shop for me is that I work within walking distance of the store. So I frequent it. Everyone is very nice. Has a good selection for a fairly new store. Hooked me up with some Rochfort 10 when everyone else was out. They do no quite a bit about the beers and will do what it takes to find the ones that you want, if they do not have them. All in all and with some time. Could be THE beer store in Indy! | View Page : 1 2
