| Ughsmash (138), Waukesha, Wisconsin | | January 9, 2008 There were a couple times while I was at ND that I ventured out to find booze.. and these guys had at least a few beers that I picked up each time (not a bad selection, but nothing that I couldn’t get closer to campus). I ran into the same guy working there a couple times, and he was into the beer scece.. and we had some good conversations (I think he took another job, though). | | ucusty (53), Wake Forest, North Carolina | | January 5, 2008 wow, not your best at all. Found some expired GL burning river. The staff looked for something fresher with no success. They had some nice Midwest beers, nothing I would consider rare | | BBB63 (90), La Porte , Indiana | | August 18, 2007 I have stopped in a couple of time when in the area but not once have I left with any beer. The selection is very average with the standard stuff you would expect like some common Bells, Three Floyds, Boulder and Great Lakes but nothing rare ever makes it here. The staff is quite clueless as well. Go to the downtown City-Wide instead. | dra19 (6), Zeeland, Michigan does not count | | May 17, 2007 Not a great place to pick up some beers, but had a few. Won’t find anything too special but the did have a few good bottles. The guy working though was extremely friendly and kinda knew a little about the beer scene. | | RagallachMC (30), Cleveland, Ohio | | October 2, 2006 I was jonesing for some good beer, and this place was a block from my hotel. A decent selection of locals from Indiana, and some good choices from other midwest brewers. A small selection of non-interesting imports, too. I chatted a bit with one of the guys working the counter and he seemed to understand the local beer scene well enough. Overall, a decent place to run in and pick up a six of some local brews. | | jde123 (52), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania | | July 9, 2005 Provides a decent selection of Great Lakes region beers. Some of the better ones include Great Lakes Brewing Company, Three Floyds, Kalamazoo... Lots of brewery sampler packs from aforementioned brewers. Wish there was more Three Floyds, though. Nothing of interest representing brewers from outside the region. Worth a visit if in the area, I was just passing through and thought I would check it out as it was near my hotel. |
