restless7 (2), Lenexa, Kansas does not count | | December 28, 2007 Beautiful bar with nice oak furniture and 9’ pool tables. Lots of plasma TV’s. Nice bar area separate from pool table area with regular seating area. Good parking. Easy highway access (I-435). Beer selection somewhat weak, a few above average selections not found everywhere but nothing exclusive. | sipnor (3), Kansas does not count | | August 3, 2007 Great place if you want to go shoot a game of pool and have a Miller Lite:( | | theisti (71), Leawood, Kansas | | April 29, 2007 Had lunch here, Pot Roast sliders were actually rather tasty. The selection here is very straight forward, though selection is a bit better than most bar and grill type in Kansas City. This is pretty much a last resort if you happen to be close by, and no time to get anywhere else. BTW - I’m with Indra, what’s with the crap videos? I was there in late April, and that Bruce Springsteen Christmas song video was blaring. | | KUEric (72), Chevy Chase, Maryland | | December 18, 2005 [ Updated February 16, 2006 ] I like this more than I like Old Chicago (better food, imo) and thats all this really is, is an Old Chicago competitor. | | Indra (47), Prairie Village, Kansas | | May 3, 2005 This place doesn’t really have much to offer the average beer geek at all, honestly. Only the most basic imports/micros, generally, things like Guinness or Sierra Nevada. I actually had a Smithwick’s on my trip, along with the fish and chips which were far too salty (the fish and the chips, yes) for my tastes. Couple this with the omnipresent, blaring Top 40 music complete with accompanying videos on 50 screens and you’ve got a place that I’m highly unlikely to frequent and that out-of-towners can just flat-out ignore. |
