beer tour 09/23/08 Stopped by for lunch at the Eliot, Maine location. There was no sampler available, although the bartender did give me a couple of samples. I eventually ordered their brown ale, which was OK, maybe slightly better than average. I had just eaten, but my wife ordered a cheesesteak, which I helped her eat (OK, I was still a little hungry). Food was very good, fries were crisp and dusted with salt and pepper, very tasty. People at the bar with us were friendly, service was good, if the beer were better I would have rated somewhat higher.

Definitely a local crowd, but not so bad. Decent food. Only shipyard beers, one sea dog on tap, with a couple of bottles and Miller lite bottles. Has a small patio, although there isn’t much of a view other than the parking lot. Had about 5 TVs. One of the locals wanted to watch NASCAR, too bad for the world cup.
