| Nejhleader (53), Hummelstown, Pennsylvania | | October 24, 2007 went to this place back in july, Pretty nice, has a good view of the harbor, food is good. only had like 4 of their beers on tap. | mcbackus (8), Merritt Island, Florida does not count | | September 29, 2007 this was the second to last day of bussines. which seems to be ashame. the place was very busy and everyone was having a great time. services was ok (yankees in town so very very busy) the selection was low but must have to be to going out of bussiness. food was great and fast to me. good place sorry to see it close. | | iratherbe (33), Marlton, New Jersey | | September 1, 2007 Yes the view Is good. Uninviting ambience, rather unkempt, beers quite mediocre at best, pub fair average to under, our server was fine, friendly & prompt. Been to Bawlmer many times .. many other far better places to go. Was just hungry this time so ... :-) | | DocLock (99), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania | | June 19, 2007 Visited after an aquarium stop, and was mildly disappointed. First off, the view is great from outside, so max out the ambience score if you get an outside table. I sat inside, and there were only 4 beer selections. I liked the brews. The crab chowder was great, the fish decent, but the fries weren’t great. The server was wonderful. So I guess this visit was a series of hits and misses, with the hits slightly surpassing the misses. | kramer (7), sunbury, Pennsylvania does not count | | June 8, 2007 Stopped in for a beer after visiting the aquarium. Just 4 beers on the menu, all what they consider their "flagship" beers: Kolsch, amber, pale ale, and porter. They were out of the porter and the kolsch was barely passable. This was way below what I was expecting given the decent experiences that I had at their two D.C. locations. I know it may seen tempting to pop in here when visiting inner harbor because of the location, but the Wharf Rat is only a few blocks away, I’ll be going there next time. Can’t beat the view, but that’s about it. | | acrdz (538), Boulder, Colorado | | July 23, 2006 Located in what you could consider an indoor mall, placed on the harbor of Baltimore. There’s a ton fast food joints inside, mainly seafood, and then Capitol City sits on the second floor overlooking the bay. It’s a really nice view, and they have patio seating around the exterior harbor-side. The beer quality suffers though, because I was finding sanitation problems in almost everything I tried here, beer which was much better at the two DC locations. Overall it was an ok visit, it’s the typical American family restaurant style brewpub. | | The_Beer_God (88), Newport News, Virginia | | June 28, 2006 This is in a mall, basically. Went here the afternoon we arrived in Baltimore and had lunch. We sat outside and had a great view of the Inner Harbor. The food was typical bar fare but my sandwich was pretty good. Had two new brews and mediocre service. Would swing by next time to see if there was something new but the DC locations seemed a bit better by comparison, except for the nice view. | | illinismitty (200), Nashville, Tennessee | | December 5, 2005 This place has the feel of a chain brewpub, and considering the location, it also has a stong tourist vibe. View is nice though. The beers did not impress me, but they were drinkable. Food is average. There are better brewpubs nearby (Fells and Wharf Rat). | | CharmCityHops (32), Maryland | | August 11, 2005 Great view of downtown and the fireworks! That’s it. The inside is impersonal, stale and stoic. The servers and bartenders are not friendly or knowledgable. The food is average. Some of their beer is kicka$$, and some is foul.
Bottom line: There are better drinking holes in the city. Save Cap City for when you visit DC. | | Braudog (441), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates | | July 3, 2005 My least favorite Cap City location I’ve visited ... average beers at best, crappy service, unkempt surroundings. Wasted of a great location. | View Page : 1 2
