| ben4321 (43), Rockville, Maryland | | August 29, 2009 It’s a nice little brew pub in a mall, you know the style, looks like an Applebees but they have their own beer. Looks like they have a Mug Club too, for those interested. The beers I had were just OK, but I got pretty unlucky with the seasonals (Hefe and Blueberry). They do 5 standards and 2 seasonal rotating taps, plus 1 cask (didn’t try the cask). The bartender was nice enough, and fairly attentive. Food was decent, but they refused to cook a burger correctly (well-done only, for shame!), so I had to change my order to something else (there’s no point in getting a burger if it’s cooked like charcoal).
Anyway, in short, stop here if you need a quick meal and a beer, and your driving by, but don’t go out of your way to go here.
| | Maltajo (19), TARRYTOWN, New York | | April 20, 2009 Nice place, Great service and good food! There beer is very tasty. So tasty that we had to bring home a growler! | | mkobes (49), paramus, New Jersey | | September 15, 2008 Nice location. Its located in a nice shopping district. The 4 of us that went there all had lunch and the food was good. Decent beer selection. We got the beer sampler. The IPA was decent. The stout was also pretty good. The other beers were ok. Food was good. | | Aurelius (89), Tallahassee, Florida | | December 9, 2006 Super clean. Didn’t eat. A big warm bar on a cold night. Excellent atmosphere and theme. Beer was just fair. If you’re in the I95/i695 vicinity, then you might want to stop, but don’t make a special trip. Wait staff was quick and polite. | | illinismitty (224), Nashville, Tennessee | | December 7, 2005 Located in a trendy shopping district. Food is good and priced reasonably. The beer on the other hand is average at best. I ordered the blueberry ale, and the bartender asked if I wanted blueberries put in it. Out of curiosity, I agrees. There were not even fresh, is was like blueberry topping you would put on a sundae. I can see why they ask, because the beer was bland even with the blueberries. You should never have to add anything to a good beer. They did however a barleywine that was decent. Extra points there. I would say that you only hit this place if you are in the area. There are much better brewpubs within 15-20 miles. | | donrajin (47), Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina | | December 3, 2005 This place is in a nice little shopping district called The Avenue. It was a nice atmosphere with pretty good beer. All styles seemed to be a little to the bitter side. I guess thats just the brewers palate. The food was excellent. I recommend the Crab Dip and the Roast Beef & Yorkshire. | | Braudog (478), Dayton, Ohio | | July 3, 2005 Average place all around. Not worth going out of the way to see. |
