| taffurs888 | Really cool brewpub in Downtown Frederick. Service was outstanding, and food was great. The beer was well, average. Definetly a must if you are traveling through the area.

hellbilly | cool historic building in downtown frederick. lots of weird rooms and spaces to hide. helpful attentive staff. i drank my lunch but the food and restaurant looks ’real’... meaning not the typical frozen pre-battered junk most places offer. decent beer. they had eight on tap from a broad bunch of styles...

Aurelius | Parking was a little dicey, but I got a spot. Nice patio, nice little town. Beer was pretty good. They had a great surf & turf special - whole lobster dinner for $13, lobster and NY strip for $23 - think this was Thursday night.

chris_o | I found myself using the word "decent" a lot in my reviews of the beers and I’ll use it again here. Located in a nice building in the old downtown area. A bit more character than the average US brewpub but, as Unsgdtrup says, the music was unnecessarily loud on a relatively quiet Monay night. Beers were decent (7 on tap), food was decent, service was decent. I’d drop in again if I was in town. And its a nice town that I’d be quite happy to visit again.

acrdz | This place reminded me of Growlers in Gaithersburg, it had that old hotel look and feel. Not a huge bar room but a nice one, fancy paneled walls and very high ceilings. Beer selection easily readable on a black board. Beer quality was subpar, I could taste some defects in a couple of the beers, while others just seemed rushed to tap and underfermented. The stouts were decent, the IPA was OK, the weizen bock had some major problems. Brewer’s Alley falls into the family restaurant brewery category, and a lot of the time I just don’t dig these places.

Derek881 | A good brewpub, conveniently located in downtown Frederick. The restaurant has a nice, formal setting, but the bar gets pretty loud and crowded on weekends. I’ve found the service to be decent in the past, but sometimes can be slow. Their beer selection is pretty good, but not spectacular; the food selection is probably better. The food is good, and there are plenty of choices. Overall, it’s a great place to visit for a nice dinner or a good beer, but it’s best to avoid the busiest times.

CaptainCougar | Nice brewpub in a great location. I want to say they had 6 or 7 different beers on tap when I was there. I don’t think any were high alcohol, but most were pretty well done to style. Food was good too, as was the service.

Ungstrup | Visited on a Monday night. Nice central location in the cozy town of Frederick. A high vaulted place, but not very cozy, attempted to be rustic, but misses the point (for a European). The music was playing very load. Baseball on TV - a plus for me. I had a pizza, it was OK, but not outstanding. 7 beers - of which one on cask, quality from OK and upwards. Ok service.

guzzler67 | Beautifuly restored building in the heart of the historic central district of this city. Several mainstays on the beerlist, complimented by noteworthy seasonals. Lots of interesting selections on the food menu, including daily specials, and everything that my companions and I have had has been well prepared. Service can be spotty, but otherwise I can definitely recommend.

hopscotch | Excellent beers brewed to style. They don’t always have a seasonal on tap, but their regular line-up is solid. Food is great, but a little pricey. Service is inconsistent. Young crowd during happy hour and on weekends. Thirtysomething crowd for supper. Parking is tough on the street, but a parking garage is close and inexpensive.
