| hellbilly (44), scottsdale über alles, Arizona | | June 28, 2008 easy to find store right off the high way... one of the cleanest and most organized stores i have ever seen! lots of local stuff, some rarer belgians, broken sixers and friendly beer knowledgablemajiggy staff (read, nerds)... what’s not to like? | | chris_o (109), London, England | | May 24, 2007 A well stocked store with a decent selection of US micros (which is what, as a visitor, I’m really interested in). And, really essential for a visitor, they had plenty of singles plus you can spilt six packs. Not really very "Ye Olde" though. | speterson (1), Knoxville, Maryland does not count | | May 6, 2007 This is how a store should be run. i had asked if they had a particular beer cold and they did not. One of the service people that I have talked with before asked if I would like for him to keep a case of this particular beer cold. I think this is outstanding service. | | acrdz (538), Boulder, Colorado | | March 31, 2007 Fairly nice store. Singles everywhere but disorganized, not in one particular area. Not the best selected of Belgians, not a lot of rare gems, but the US micro selected is pretty decent. I guess I was expecting more from the reviews, but I still consider this store to be one of the better ones int the PA/MD/DC area. | pythonmets (8), Charles Town, West Virginia does not count | | March 12, 2007 I used to live in the area and for me was the only game in town. They have a good selection, but mostly it’s stuff that is pretty easy to find anywhere in the region. Service is friendly, and they will try to special order for you if they can. The real draw here is that they allow you to break up six packs, unlike their competitor in the Westridge shopping center. I hear their food is decent too, but I haven’t tried it. | | vyvvy (22), Hazelwood, Missouri | | February 19, 2007 Finally getting around to rating this since visiting in November. Lots of imports and micros. Prices were about average for the area. Didn’t seem like there was a whole lot of structure how the beer area was arranged, but nothing was too hard to find. A few things were dated, but overall it seemed to be fairly fresh. Everything was able to be broken up, so it is great for trying lots of new beers. The employees were very helpful, but none seemed like big beer geeks. Recommended stop if you are in the area. | | Braudog (441), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates | | January 15, 2007 Based on the recommendations here, I stopped by while driving Route 15. I left with a case of singles of stuff new to my inventory. Nice little shop, friendly staff, and pretty good selection of regional micros and a few new imports. Of course, selling singles is a huge draw for a beer hunter, so kudos to the Spirit Shop! | | Ungstrup (209), Frederiksberg, Denmark | | January 1, 2007 Great selection. You can split 6-packs - I like that. I really could have bought loads, but limited myself to 8, because I knew I’d have a problem sampling them on my roadtrip with Chris_o and I already had too many to carry home to Denmark. If You’re nearby, then don’t miss this place. For a liquor store it is pretty cozy. | | hopscotch (135), Vero Beach, Florida | | February 25, 2006 [ Updated October 25, 2006 ] They’re deli food (for carry-out only) is really very good. The staff is helpful and fairly knowledgeable regarding beer... especially Ken. They aren’t open late... 10PM or earlier during the week. Maybe 11PM on weekends. THEY WILL BREAK UP ANY FOUR OR SIX PACK! Lots of Belgians and tons of English ales. |
