| illinismitty (200), Nashville, Tennessee | | August 8, 2008 I tried the location out at Arundel Mills mall. Next to the theatre, parking is a pain. The beers on tap are all very good, solid beers. I really enjoyed the Venom Pale Ale, the stout, and the belgian quad. I just missed the Devil’s Milk barleywine by two days. Darn! Decor is contemporary industrial, and the bar is separate from the restaurant...nice. Decent food and good happy hour specials. Happy hour all day and all night on tuesday, and it’s PACKED. Only three miles from BWI rental car return, so it’s easy to stop in before catching a flight. | Shaftie (2), , Florida does not count | | July 6, 2008 A few decent seasonals, and a very limited selection of staple beers. Growlers appear to be well-made. Arundmel Mills mall has alot to offer pretty much any consumer. And Duclaws can have great beer, just depends on the month. | vadavid (9), Fredericksburg, Virginia does not count | | December 29, 2007 Arundel Mills is a big place but we found parking right near the restaurant. The eatery is located near an outside door so we didn’t have to traverse through the mall. It was lunch time, on the Friday after Christmas, and though the restaurant was fairly busy but we had no wait for a table. The server was prompt to take our drink and food orders. The non-smoking restaurant was a nice place to enjoy lunch and some good local beer. | | hoplover406 (24), Crofton, Maryland | | May 3, 2007 [ Updated May 5, 2007 ] I like most of the Duclaw beers. The Bad Moon Porter and the Venom are their best regulars for sure. They have so many seasonals and I have only had a couple. Very adventurous brewery. Their Serum is VERY good. They have recently started "Firkin Fridays" but have yet to attend one. The food is delicious, no complaints there. I just wish they had more regular beers. It’s frustrating to go there and they only have 4 or 5 beers available and they were the same as last time. Worth a visit though. | | beachbum25 (35), Powellville, Maryland | | December 26, 2006 Sat at the bar & had a sampler on Christmas weekend in the afternoon. Wasn’t what you would call a beer geek crowd, a lot of tired shoppers so it didn’t get much of an ambiance score from me. Got some funny looks from others who didn’t even realize such a thing was available, although one woman ordered one after she saw mine. Beers were quite good as was the price-$6.60 for 7 beers. You get to try everything on tap in their sampler so sometimes you may get 10-12! Food choices looked good but did not eat. Service was very good, bartenders very patient explaining things to a non-beer crowd, even when they had to do it a few times in a row f/new patrons. Had an outdoor area for warm weather, but it overlooked the mall parking lot!! I will definatly go back for a beer event here, or try one of their other locations at a better time w/the atmosphere might be a little more happening! | | hopscotch (135), Vero Beach, Florida | | October 25, 2006 Always a great experience. The food is very good. The selection of beers just keeps getting better; especially the seasonals. The release parties are always great fun. Service is fast and friendly. Staff is fairly knowledgeable. Sometimes too noisy and too crowded. Indoor and outdoor seating. It’s located at a HUGE mall and I hate malls, but that’s life. You go where you gotta go. | | Capa (53), Yokosuka, Japan | | June 25, 2006 They had seven brews on tap when i was there and each one was delicious. The sampler is a great way to go if you arent sure what to get and its reather cheap too. Service was good and the waitress had some good reccomendations. Im sure ill be going back. | | argo0 (173), Washington DC | | June 11, 2005 Has a typical mall restaurant feel, complete with what seems like above-average but not great food. But it also has a frequently crowded bar and a patio area (that looks out over the giant mall parking lot). More importantly, it has the DuClaw beers, they being the main reason for driving out here. | | jeffc666 (84), Fairfax, Virginia | | March 1, 2005 Good brews and food all at a hideous large mall in a suburban setting. I hate malls so this place as that strike against it, though it always crowded with weary shoppers so from the business perspective it seems a saavy move. The service is usually pretty good, though I have been served their rather not good Irish Red and told it was a Serum (their IIPA). After much ado I convinced the waiter that it was wrong and he went and checked and came back and admitted that it was in fact wrong and that they were out of Serum. So my biggest complaint is that they run out of their seasonals and big beers very quickly. They keep exanding but as of yet have not expanded theor brewing capacity. | | jde123 (52), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania | | February 19, 2005 While the beer is really something amazing, they usually only have a few on tap, and if you go later in the day, one has run dry. They do have seasonals and occasional deals on growlers. The brewpub is in arundel mills mall, but is separated from general mall foot traffic by very large plate glass windows, providing good people watching and peace and quiet, if only they would ban children. Service is so-so, seldom saw the wait-staff, food is great with wide selection. | View Page : 1 2
