| Beerlando (25), Orlando, Florida | | September 24, 2008 This is an eclectic little brewpub. Very modern and sleek, with great food and some great, sessionable, seasonal brews. There were 11 brews on tap when I visited, some of which were as creative and fun as any I’ve encountered in a long time. They offer growlers of their 4 house beers, but not the 7 seasonals. We sat at the bar and had some very nice appetizers. The menu has a modern American feel, with some unique, updated twists on a few New England classics. It looked as though this was a pretty hot spot for locals on a Friday night, as it got pretty crowded at dusk. The bartender was knowledgeable, friendly, and quick. Overall, a great little place that I’ll be sure to visit again on my next trip to Boston. | | Oakes (323), Miami Beach, Florida | | June 21, 2008 Stylish modern brewpub. Great beer list, though, with some really cool seasonals on tap. It was a quiet night and the service was good. Didn’t eat. Good times. | | jhumphries69 (17), Tyrone, Georgia | | June 18, 2008 A very cool place with lots of outdoor seating (great for the warm weather anyway). Inside is nice. The food was great, though a bit pricy. The pizzas are by far the best bargain (very tasty and very large for the price). The beers are all very decent, too. | | Slipstream (13), | | April 14, 2008 A clean, modern interior greets the visitor - light-colored wood and full, but not too-brite lighting. A spacious place where the industrial-sized brewing vats are visible behind the bar. This every bit as much a restaurant as it is a beer joint - most of the patrons come for dinner, and not just for beer and Red Sox games. They allow you to take your beer out front if you want to smoke, which is nice. The patrons were a mixed bag - all sorts of (mostly white) folks. The service was superb - our waiter did not charge my friend for an entree that did not please him - and this was without him asking! There is a rotating selection of around 8 brews, and a steady group of around 8. Flights of 3 are available. Well worth a visit. | | ajm (68), California | | March 22, 2008 [ Updated August 14, 2008 ] One of those places whose value you don’t realize until you compare it to your ’daily’ joints. The great and imaginative food is equalled by the great and imaginative beers. I had bad service when I went but that’s probably not the norm. Has the ambiance of a family-owned restaurant or a Sizzler but that melts away quick. They sure don’t make ’em like this out west! | | gws57 (74), Saint Charles, Illinois | | October 13, 2007 [ Updated January 24, 2008 ] Visited on a rainy and crappy October Friday. (If you don’t like the weather in New England, go back to where you came from!) Ambiance was like a trendy campustown coffee shop with the same kind of servers, bartenders and patrons you’d expect. Service was a bit spotty. We were in the back but it wasn’t like the place was packed. Oh well, nothing can be perfect. Eight good beers to choose from, nothing extraordinary, but everything was better than average. However, the food was amazing, especially the blackened chicken sandwich. Overall, a great experience, and in a great location (of course, we took the T and didn’t mind walking.) | | Mad_Indian (15), Levittown, Pennsylvania | | September 24, 2007 Went with Stegosaurus on our 2nd Boston tour. Food was good , beer was a little dissapointing. We went during the wrong season and did not get to sample their highest rated beer. Not a bad place. | | stegosaurus (34), Levittown, Pennsylvania | | September 24, 2007 Not a bad little place, we sat outside tried some of their brews, however it seems like we came at the wrong time of the year, none of the top three brews they make were on tap. However i did enjoy the Arquebus barleywine. Service was good, i would go again if i was in town. | | BitchesBrew (48), Manchester, New Hampshire | | September 4, 2007 Pretty hard to find, but you will certainly be rewarded if you do. Open seating, but kind of small.. with a nice outdoor patio. Service is quick and attentive. The beers are expertly crafted, with some very creative ideas. Excellent food, pairing beer with most of the meals. Overall, a very interesting place. I look forward to visiting again. | | Glouglouburp (142), Montreal, Quebec | | August 7, 2007 More a restaurant that brews its own beer. The focus is more on the food. Ambiance is very restaurant. Was there around 8PM or so and the place was family-friendly. Food is above average by pubs standards. Some more fancy stuff as well as the classic pizzas and friends. Delicious Sicilian pizza. Beer selection was 4 regulars and 4 seasonals. Beer quality was average and ranged from boring to decent. Nothing great, nothing bad. Worth the trip is you want a nice meal with some decent handcraft beers. Not worth the detour for beer alone. | View Page : 1 2 3 4
