Great spot with many German beers on tap. I was a regular when I was working in Springfield and I would be there every Friday at 5 with my co-worker. The service is the best I have ever experienced with friendly bartenders and quick food service. The German food is great and I can not wait to go back. I have a feeling that the barkeep would know what to serve me if I walked in there tonight. This is worth the drive to downtown Chicopee any time for dinner or a few strong German beverages.

A little known German gem of a pub in Chicopee, that is one of my personal favorite hangouts. They always have two to three wheat beers, as well Optimater (for the great price of $4.25 for a 1/2 liter!) plus a rotating German seasonal beer. Also several decent German Lagers as well such as Warstiener for example. Also, an extensive wine list is available as well. A local micro, Paper City from Holyoke, has three taps all the time too, if you are into that company. The service is top notch, very pleasent and accomidating. The food is very reasonable and classic German fare, sausages, schnitzel’s, etc. Try the Hungerian Goulash Soup, I highly recommend it! This joint also holds many events such as a killer Oktoberfest, Christmas Dinners, Game Dinners, Dinner Theaters and many more events in thier separate Banquet facility. You can’t go wrong stopping here for a couple of beers or food.
