June 1, 2009 Cool little town brewpub and restaurant here. Lots of very drinkable ales from the tap and a few heavier selections from the bottle. The burger we had from Shelburne meat was delectable and we appreciated that real grain mustard (not the fluorescent yellow crap) was offered. Overall, a really friendly eco-conscious place that brews good beer and has succulent food. Why ask for more than that when going out with friends? |

April 16, 2009 It’s a small brewpub in Greenfield. My nephew wanted me to have a few beers before I traveled back to Indiana the next day. Bartender was knowledgeable and picked the 5-6 best beers for a beer sampler. It’s a nice place and will probably go back when I visit next year. |

March 17, 2009 [ Updated March 19, 2009 ] We eat here about once a month. It is a typical pub serving typical pub fare. The food is often farm fresh and features products from local farmers, which is something we strongly support. The beers are solid, they are very drinkable, though nothing stands out as outstanding. We have always had pretty good service. The atmosphere is nice with booths, tables and a long bar. I love the support for local artists, the artwork changes monthly. I am also a big fan of, Jeremy Krusas, the Head Brewer’s inspiring story. He started working there as a dishwasher 12 years ago and has been the head brewer for the last 5 years. |

February 16, 2009 I was at this place for lunch where they only offer a limited menu of finger foods or a burger. The place itself is typical New England pub in appearance. The selection features 3 casks and 8 taps of their own beers + their own sodas. Service is great. Make sure you bring cash. No credit cards and that fact isn’t posted anywhere. |

July 11, 2007 Three casks always on, take everything on cask. An attractive bar in a reasonably friendly and safe smaller town. Tattoos yet people act decently. It was late, there was loud swearing and that sort of behaviour. The locals were there. Ben, the bartender was very experienced and had the right pour down. He was fast and on top of things, an American all-star. Knew what was good if not the ingredients. Good homemade root beer and the Ginger beer-ginger ale is one of the best I have had in a long life of pop drinking. The beers are more or less average, with some experimentation that was fun to try.Clear winner that night: Oatmeal stout on cask. A guest tap, and pub food. Cheap pints and half pints always available.

March 1, 2007 Visited around 9 PM on a Saturday night and it was pretty crowded. A prettty small place with electic decor. Crowd was pretty young and crunchy for the most part. 10 beers or so on tap, all of them were pretty average to sub par. Didn’t eat but the menu looked pretty good- cheap, with fresh mexican appetizers and dishes, cheese plates, etc. No brewing is done in house here, the brewery is around the block from the restaurant. Service was pretty good |

February 14, 2006 Rather busy on the Friday night we visited (me, Gonzo and Agnes). The place was packed. The service was decent if rushed, but the beers....uninteresting bland and watery, or like Gonzo mentionned, tasting of diacetyl. Bad batches? The place looks nice and off-center....May have to come back ...during the day! |

November 16, 2005 Neat little brewpub that doesn’t try to be cookie cutter in its layout, instead keeping things slightly eccentric. The food was decent, ambiance pleasant, service helpful -- all the basics were covered. |

September 26, 2005 Very nice place to grab a reasonably-priced pint, and some earthy-crunchy food and pinko people-watching. Service can be spotty, but homebrewed beers and sodas are stellar. Try the Oatmeal stout and the Farmer Brown. Nice seasonal rotation. Food utilizes mostly local agriculture sources which is good for the farmer and the environment. Great progressive place! Don’t know what the initial comments are talking about - Greenfield is neither a tourist nor an antiquing town - it’s a standalone community in a beautiful area that values local businesses and, incidentally, good beer. The lemming big-city tourists typically pass Greenfield right by for the tacky junk on the Mohawk Trail or the themepark cutesiness of VT. Locals are the ones keeping Greenfield and the Pint viable and interesting! |
