I guess I shouldn’t have been expecting much a brewpub when their main function was seemingly a distillery, but still. First, they’ve got fun and games which is like one dartboard, a pinball machine, and then a HUGE pile of board games... how old am I? I can have fun just having a conversation and enjoying a good brew, if they HAD good brew. It was a breezy, wide open place with no wait staff whatsoever. We had to go up to the bar even to order our food. This is especially annoying for a first-timer to the facility who would like to hear about the different types of beers they brew, etc. No such info. Thus, we had to go off of their hanging chalk board menu behind the bar, since none of their beers were even listed in their drink menu. They had a tiny selection of Pale, Amber, and Blonde. Well, alright, I am a fan of the usual pale, so I order that. In fact, my buddy and I both order the pale. Then we get back to our seats and discover that our two beers are two completely different shades in color. I *think* I ended up with a blonde and he got an actual pale. Either way, we both didn’t enjoy the beers. Both were sour, flat, and just seemed kind of skunky. The food was actually quite good. I wouldn’t recommend Leopold Brothers to anyone hoping to get a decent brewpub experience. Beer here truly seemed to be a vast afterthought.

Huge pool room with a tiny little bar in the corner. Two beers available when I visited, a blonde and a porter, and both tasted like simple kit beer. The crowd is younger and gives the place a dorm feel, but overall I liked the building, the picnic tables and the bar. Too bad the beer sucked.

Stopped by this place after getting a reprieve during the MI beer fest weekend. Was excited to show an out of town friend this unique A2 offering. HOWEVER, it seems the liquor has clouded the beer. Tried there brown and was underwhelmed at best. Happy hour price was right. Go for the liquor, not the beer.

Directly on Main Street with parking on the side. Clean brick and wood older building with bar on left and tables on the right. Three standards on tap. All were drinkable brews. Freindly bartender with little knowledge. Interesting selection of distilled products that were better then the beers. Interesting location.

If the beer were good I could understand where all the time and money is going. The staff here is lousy. It is hard to imagine a better building for a brewery. I think beers are $6 a glass. They all taste the same and aren’t very good. If the future of beer is as environmentally friendly as Leopold’s, I may have to stop drinking.

Big open space. Great jukeboke. Crappy prices. Mediocre beer. Not much else to say. I like it as a place to hang, though.

Not all that bad of a place. Big and open inside, fairly smokey. One side is a bunch of long lunchroom style tables the other has a coupld couches. Nothing too exciting, the beer is at best questionable.

Great place, they not only do their own beer which is good, not great. But, they also distill. The food is slightly above average but, not a big selection. There are board games available to borrow to help pass the time while drinking.

Big open room, beer is ok. The furniture reminded me of the cheap furniture you sometimes see at old ski resorts. Outdoor patio and proximity to my apartment are a plus. Friendly staff. Prices are reasonable.
