This is probably my favorite beer store in the GR area, looks like your typical liquor store next to a Pizza parlor, but it’s not. Everything is offered in singles, and empty 6 packs are provided to encourage mixing and matching and is priced accordingly, so they are usually much cheaper than either Martha’s or International beverage. Also has a large amount of Home-brewing and Wine-making supplies, a walk in humidor, and extensive wine and liquor selections. You have to like a store that gives micro’s about 10 times the space of macro’s which are tucked in a corner in the back.

| hombrepalo (32), Chicago, Illinois | | July 28, 2008 Stopped bye on my way back from Mackinac Island. Loved it! So many singles its not even funny, break a six like nothing. Next to a piazza parlor. Looks small from the outside but damn this place is loaded. I stocked up on beer I can’t get in Chicago like Bell’s, Stoudts, Arbor, Some Dark Horse I have never seen in chicago, motor city, and a lot more. Picked up a 24 pack of these and received 10% off! Kick ass service. Although no Expedition Stout (can’t blame them, its out of season) overall one of the best beer stores i haveever seen. | MHED (4), lisle, does not count | | July 27, 2008 This place is small, old, dark, and cramped. But, hat a great little find. A nice selection of Michigan micros. and others. Bells, Dark Horse, Avery, Great Divide, Stone. A bonus homebrewshop on top of it. looked to have a desent selection of ingrediants and equipment. Staff was friendly. Definitely worth checking out. | | Glouglouburp (142), Montreal, Quebec | | July 7, 2008 Super cool little beer store a few miles away from Grand Rapids center. Local Michigan breweries are obviously very well represented and also a lot of other American micros and imports. What really makes this one stand out is how knowledgeable and helpful the two persons on location were (I suspect one was the owner). We talked beer, beer events, beer scene, etc. The store isn’t very big but since real beer-lovers handle the store there are no turkeys in there. It kind of reminded me of West Lakeview Liquors in Chicago in the sense that this is a small beer-lovers store ran by beer-lovers and the selection is kick-ass despite the below average size of the store. Highly recommended. | | sneagrams3 (20), St. Louis, Missouri | | May 11, 2008 Visited 4/27/08. Inbetween GRBC and Founders. I loved this place. Lots of room and lots of beer. Strong focus on Michigan brews, including a separate cooler. It has the option to buy single bottles and you can break up six packs. Which is a total boon. The workers were friendly and very knowledgable. I would strongly recommend this joint to anyone visiting the Grand Rapids area! | | heemer77 (134), Savannah, Missouri | | May 6, 2008 I visited here while driving through town. A tiny little store that packs a lot of goodies. Once you get past the cigar shop, you see open cases of all types of bombers. They also have a very good selection of singles with lots of them in their coolers. A great beer store that far exceded my expectations as I picked up lots of new stuff. | kieleszd (8), Grand Rapids , Michigan does not count | | April 12, 2008 This place is loaded with the worlds best beer period. You can build your own six packs or by singles. Excellent coffee is also for sale. Its comforting to any outdoorsman or beer enthusiast. | inkubus27 (5), does not count | | March 22, 2008 Took a road trip to this place and was not dissapointed. Tons of amazing rare micro’s, great selection of midwest beers, esp bell’s, founder’s and dark horse. Not to mention that they have an extensive homebrewing section! A beer lover’s paradise! | Saazer (1), Michigan does not count | | February 10, 2008 I never leave without ideas and supplies for the next batch, and several nice bottles for inspiration. Staff is always helpful and their suggestions of beers to try are always good. The homebrew supplies are great and fresh. I always start off new homebrewers with Go to Siciliano’s. I only wish I could stand smoking so I could try out their cigar and tobacco selections. On top of this, they throw a great homebrewer’s party every year. I wish they would spruce up their website a little more. | | General_Gao (207), Iowa City, Iowa | | February 10, 2008 I almost skipped this one despite the recommendations, but I’m glad I made the short trip off the Interstate. The selection was great, particularly for Michigan breweries. The best find was several bottles of Kuhnhenn Raspberry Eisbock. Everything is offered in singles. | | bigtaster (15), Grand Rapids, | | February 4, 2008 [ Updated May 5, 2008 ] When you drive up it looks like your home town liquor store, but it’s not. Basically any beer that you can buy in Michigan is in stock. Very helpful and friendly staff. | View Page : 1 2 3 4
