For it’s location, nothing beats Pauly’s. Being from Ionia, I know just how few options there are for anyone living between Grand Rapids and Lansing, so I can attest that this place is a godsend. The husband (wine) and wife (beer) team that own/operate the store keep the shelves well-stocked and are both very knowledgable. If you’re looking for something that’s not on the shelves, don’t be afraid to ask, they just might have it in the back.

When we moved to Lowell we thought at first all of our beer needs would be thru the big box store in town until we discovered Pauly’s. As soon as you walk in the clerk usually is there to provide a good (not expert) opinion on anything from beer to cigars to alcohol. Though I’ve seen more selection, this store is a great find in a small town like Lowell!

Holy cow was i impressed when walking in to this shop! Not your normal West Michigan beer store more like a Chicago liquar store. One wall of coolers devoted to micro and imported beers and at quick count just over 250 cold singels and they give you 10% off a build your own 6 pack. With the warm beers on the shelves I’d guess at well over 500 diffrent beers to chose from. Not being a home brewer I have know way of knowing how they stand but shelevs of grain and row upon row of little bottles and tubs of grain on the floor.

wasnt as impressed with the selection. mostly easy to fins singles, seemed to be a heavier focus on wine and large bottle expensive beers. prices comparable on singles. service gets points knocked off as i was only one in store and worker only noticed after id been stnading at register counter for five minutes.

What a surprise find!! We accidentally stumbled upon this small but well stocked beverage emporium - they have a very broad and eclectic assortment of microbrew beers (available by the "single", too), home brew supplies, a great range of quality wines as well as a well stocked liquor selection. Pauly’s has some interesting spirits - has anyone ever heard of "Bison Grass Vodka"??
Pauly’s shares the building with a newly opened "Jet’s Pizza" (our prijmary reason to stop, hence the "accidental" discovery of this shop) . . . what could be better - a great pizza, washed down with a stong Belgian!!??
When travelling M-21 east of Grand Rapids, pay Pauly’s a visit - you won’t be disappointed.

Great selection of belgian and craft beer. Great place for home brew supplies. The only place for HB supplies east of GR. Please support them, so they can continue to carry home brewing supplies.

I have been visiting this new "wine, beer and spirits" (they sell "liquor", not ghosts!!) shop on a regular basis since Paul and Stacey Faba first opened in January. It is awesome to see what this "mom & pop" operation has done to attract and keep true beer afficianados returning to their store.
The micro-brew selections are wild!! They have beer that other area "big dogs" do not - I believe they are well on their way, if not already there, to being THE destination in West Michigan for those of us who are always seeking and enjoying a plethora of unique and tasty beers.
AND, for you home brewers, Stacey, the Beer/Brewmeister at Pauly’s is a true expert. Stop by - I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Stopped in on my way to Grand Rapids and was very impressed. The selection is fantastic. Pauly’s had more selection than the 4 other good beer places I’ve been to combined. They also have a nice selection of glassware, wine liquor and coffee. Paul was great at helping me find a good beer for my taste preference and thus the service was fantastic. They also have homebrewing equipment and have the knowledge to help anyone get started. I was very pleased with this establishment and am thrilled that they are located so close to home.
