Probably the most modern metro-looking building in downtown Whitefish. Parksy and I were there in the spring, and it was pretty quiet (shoulder season I guess). Surprisingly most of the building you see in the photo is devoted to brewing hardware, with only a small amount of square footage dedicated to a tasting area and merchandise sales. Handfull of beers on tap, pretty average across the board. We grabbed a case of bottles and a couple of shaker glasses to go. In the end, this brewery’s best beer is Snowghost in my opinion, and this was not on tap while we were there. Staff was friendly enough, but unsure of the hop content or variety used in their brews. No big deal, but a little surprising given that you are staff in a brewery!

May 2007 - Nice building on the quaint main street of Whitefish with a small bar and seating area for tasting. The first 6 oz glass was free. After that you can buy 6 or 12 oz glasses, up to the ridiculous MT limit of 48 oz’s. A few logo items are available for sale. After you sample their brews, you’re right in the middle of a few great eateries, incluing Great Northern’s pub right across the street.

Good location as it is on what could be condidered Whitefishes "Restaurant row." Tasting is upstairs. A 4oz sample, first taste is free. Buy a pint glass for $8 and get a free refill. They bottle so you can buy sixers and up. Beer is average at best. Still it is nice after a week hiking Glacier.

Stopped during our tour of Eastern Washington, Northern Idaho, Western Montana and Western Wyoming regions. As we visited all the National Parks and Breweries summer 2004. This was a fun place to visit and we had a great time trying a few brews. There was not much for food so we did not get any. Was full of the locals which made you feel not welcome but getting behind the bar and pouring I was at home. The huckleberry brew was pretty good and we liked the Hefe.

I’ve been here many times. This is where I was enlightened by the original Black Star golden lager. (Now defunct). The wheatfish hefeweitzen served here was magnificent (4.5). I skipped Whitefish for 2 years and last summer found the wheatfish and one other tasted like they had a teaspoon or two of baking soda dissolved in. I’m curious to see if they still taste the same when I return this summer. Update: The beer here is awfull, its a real shame. I guess the public will drink anything.
