Only got to this Beer Shop in Amsterdam, unfortunately I never made the Cracked Kettle, though I would struggle to see how this could possible be beaten on the staggering choice, rare stuff and reasonable prices. I concentrated on mostly Dutch beers from De Molen but I also got a few from Mikkeller but I was limited on what I could carry as I was situated on a campsite out of town. Very friendly staff, who suggested De Wildeman and ’T Arendsnest bars as ’got to go to’ places. Visited here twice but if I lived in Amsterdam I would never be out of this place. One of the best speciality beers shops I’ve ever visited.

Small and nice beer shop just in the city centre. Glassware, nice selections of beers, and also some limited-amount aged beer from time to time.

Best beer shop I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to quite a few now... August 21, 2006 [ Updated August 12, 2007 ] I’ve been going here for more than a year now and after having done some beer tourism I can say that this is one of the great beer shops. The selection of Dutch and Belgian beers is unrivaled. They have Westvleteren but also tons of microbrewers, Scandi, German, English, UK and tons and tons of others. The selection is very fluid so I’m always bowled over by what they have next. This place is fantastic.

Great location, right off the center of the city. The big plus for tourists is the huge collection of glassware. They also have vintage Westys for a premium price. There is a guy who works here who also workes at the ’t IJ Brewery. Nice guy. Good store.

Nice shop with a big selection of beers form around the world. I especially liked the de Molen Selection and the Left Hand selection. Unfortuneately the sold me two ´t IJ Vlo (a special for that shop) that both were infected.

Very good beer shop, albeit a bit too warm inside. Lots of beers from various countries. Prices are good. Also very nice if you’re into Lambic beers, they have a cellar filled with this stuff. Lots of glassware too.

Visited this place and cracked kettle on a brief trip to Amsterdam. Selection is obviously large, including all 3, rather expensive, Westvleterens (approx 10euro a bottle). I couldn’t find a few things I was looking for, no struise beers for example, and when I asked if they had any Chouffe N’Ice in I was told not to be so silly it’s not winter now (in September), still I got a bottle of it from cracked kettle so nevermind.
