| skortila (57), Bunnik, Netherlands | | October 6, 2008 I visit this place now and then to get the latest brews and to drink some beers from tap. Always a friendly atmosphere, quality food in the restaurant and a little shop which sells besides their great beers also a wide variety of local products, like cheese, pancake flour, mustard, etc. A must for every ratebeerian visiting the Netherlands. | | DSG (39), Yuvalim, Israel | | August 19, 2008 A restaurant in the front room and a bar in the back. You can have here samples of all the draught beer and it’s possible to take home bottled beers from the small gift shop in the front. Menno is a really great guy, he was willing to let me taste some of the bottled beers from the shop even though he doesn’t usually agree to serve it there. he showed me around the brewery and even took me to the brewery warehouse in his car to get me a Rasputin and a Triple Stout. Prices are quite cheap, if I remember correctly the big bottles were about 6-7E. Oh, and yeah, the beers are really good! I encourage everyone who’s in Netherlands to come here. | gioni (3), Nieuwegein, Netherlands does not count - explanation | | February 10, 2008 I come in this place from the beginning in the summer of 2004. It’s always really nice. | | caesar (111), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands | | June 12, 2007 Visited with skortila. Nice place, which combines a restaurant and a brewery, including a shop and a ’proeflokaal’. Brewer at first did not have time for us, as a large group was visiting his brewery. He also gives private brewing workshops, which is definitely nice to try once I think. But when it became less crowdy, and he knew we were interested in the beers, he became quite enthousiastic about all of his brews. After we bought about 5 boxes of beers, some cheese, mustard etc, he even came up with a not-yet released Russian Imperial Stout. Definitely worth a visit! | | NoiZe (35), Zeist, Netherlands | | May 26, 2007 [ Updated August 27, 2008 ] Worth a visit. Nice place to eat, nice people serving. Beershop with all the beers from the brewery, you can visit the brewery too. Nice beers on tap. | | bierkoning (136), La Tropica, Netherlands | | April 21, 2006 [ Updated October 2, 2007 ] Didn’t eat there, but was served by the brewer, who talked enthousiastically about his beers, changes in recipe, and so on. Got a free sample and got my sixth bottle for free. The beer is not cheap, but in most cases worth the price paid.
At a later visit the food proved to be quite good. | | jbrus (84), Delft, Netherlands | | April 20, 2006 [ Updated September 10, 2008 ] Ever changing beers on tap. Nice and friendly but young and inexperienced staff. Very nice beers in English and German style rather than Belgian. If you’re lucky the brewer has some time for you and a nice enthusiastic talk about his brewery and beers. The food is excellent as well. |
