imadeadguy (4), From NJ, now in Clovis, California does not count - explanation | | January 8, 2008 [ Updated August 16, 2008 ] For a liquor store being in a college town(Rowan) they have an immpressive selection of micros. They have everything from Stone to Chimay. Prices are very reasonable and many of the brews are kept cold. If your in the area stop in and check out what they have. | | corby112 (16), philadelphia, Pennsylvania | | December 12, 2007 Jersey Liquor warehouse with an impressive selection of beer. Belgium, Germany and U.S. craft beer are especially well represented. | | iratherbe (33), Marlton, New Jersey | | September 4, 2007 Call it on the border of Pitman / Glassboro. Quite a large selection of micros, local brews, imports & quality brews; especially so in South Jersey from what I’ve seen (relocated from North Jersey). Was recommended from area forum members & lived up to billing. Just picked up a few cases of fests & Marzen’s including Victory, some Weyerbacher & Ramstein. | GuilTTy (7), Cherry Hill, New Jersey does not count - explanation | | May 7, 2007 This place is a relatively large and very unpretentous (read "warehouse chic") but a true gem in terms of selection. By far, the largest and most varied selection of domestic craft and imports in the area - including the large Canals outlets. Sensebly arranged by country for imports and by region (for the most part) for domestics. Good number of hard to find brews including Brooklyn Local 1, Coopers, Great Divide Oak Aged Yeti & Hercules. Impressive west coast presence (Stone, Lagunitas, Green Flash) and a healthy pacific northwest lineup with the largest selection of Rogues I’ve seen in one location. A bit out of the way but worth the trip. Prices quite reasonable thanks to the nearby college clientelle. | | EithCubes (61), Indiana | | December 31, 2006 [ Updated June 2, 2007 ] I think this is actually more Pitman than Glassboro. Surprisingly good for the area, on par with Canal’s, though the prices are a tad higher here on some of the singles. But they do have a ton of singles, mostly dumped. A bit like a rummage sale, have to sort through mixed piles and haphazard assortments to find some rare nuggets. All of the local stuff, even had seven or eight packs of Heavyweight left on the shelves (this around Jan 2007!). Had some FFF, and I was impressed to see some 3 Monts. Decent Belgians and above average British selection. Just a big warehouse, but can find some rares and unusuals. | | MrBendo (16), Swedesboro, New Jersey | | December 3, 2006 Very good for the area. They have SOME Three Floyds, which are hard to find around here. Also Jolly Pumpkin. The prices are warehouse cheap, and they have a singles section. Although the singles section was pretty small and no prices listed. It looked like a bottle dump when the workers found a sixer with one missing. | | stegosaurus (34), Levittown, Pennsylvania | | September 6, 2006 Good selection, not much in singles, but beers are warm which is good for long trips. Can find some rare beers here on occasion, decent amount of imports and domestic micro brews. Worth poping in if you are in the area. This is not a store, so the appearance isn;t anything great, but the beers are laid out pretty well. | thehinge (7), Wilmington, Delaware does not count - explanation | | February 24, 2006 This is a pretty good place for macros and imports. Saw a lot of rare regional beers, as well as some Europeans that I have never found before. Didn’t need assistance, so I can’t vouch to their service or knowledge. I would encourage any RB’er in south Jersey to give this place a visit though. It is a warehouse....so don’t expect anything pleasant or appealing. | | Retorp (124), Tampa, Florida | | January 15, 2006 I’m shocked this place wasn’t in RateBeer already. It definitely has more than the basics. Several of the Jersey/PA micros are present. Belgian Selection is fairly large. German/English is decent. Single 12 oz selection is a bit thin, but there are some to be had and plenty of sixers.
This is the only place that I found in South Jersey that truly qualifies as a beer store so that is why I am suprised it wasn’t already listed. |
