Marco and Pepe

I debated for a long time whether or not to enter this place. It is a rather small, dingy,hip restaurant with a bar that is more like a drugstore soda shoppe counter. Went on a Sunday afternoon in the late fall of ’07 with my wife, Joeec5 and his wife. They only have four beers on tap, but all were excellent. Chimay White, La Chouffe, DFH 90 Minute IPA and Weyerbacher’s Imperial Pumpkin. Also had around 25 bottles to choose from, most very good. Four different Hitachino beers, Orval, Rochefort 8 and 10 along with some German and English beers. I wish most of the bars in NJ had as good a selection never mind a tiny little restaurant in downtown Jersey City. Only had appetizers(which were excellent) but Joe and his wife have been there a few times and rave about the food, especially their Sunday brunch. Actually, considering what NJ has to offer beer lovers, I don’t know why I waited so long to add this place.
