| CUJO (19), Brooklyn, New York | | June 24, 2009 One of the better Harvest Moons... again I’m RU allum, so I’m partial to the area. The prices are a bit lower than the NYC sisters; service is usually better. Selection is the same as the others though, beer is mediocre. | fizzban (9), whitehouse, New Jersey does not count - explanation | | December 26, 2008 Pretty cool place. Definilty worth if to try out once. My food wasint quite the best but the beer was good. Servis was on par with most places. Not good not bad. | | HoppyHippie (10), Somerville, New Jersey | | December 26, 2008 [ Updated December 29, 2008 ] Very friendly staff and service. Vegetarian food selection was very much appreciated. not many places in the area have such a great selection. | rman18 (9), South Amboy, New Jersey does not count - explanation | | February 25, 2008 Wasn’t a big fan of this place... Its definetly worth it for the beer, but the people there were all pretty odd. THe service was just OK, took a long while to get my refills and the food was just ok. I did go around 4PM so maybe its better for dinner. | | freekyp (28), Thomasville, North Carolina | | November 27, 2007 [ Updated September 13, 2008 ] Decent small brewpub in downtown New Brunswick. Suggest going there for lunch, as dinner usually results in a wait. In addition, the place can get pretty loud. They do have a cask ale on from time to time, and the bar back areas is pretty kewl with a large keg embedded in the wall. Most of their beers are solid, but their Oatmeal Stout is very nice. Get this one over and over again. Lineup is a bit heavy on English styles. Dinners are a bit overpriced. | | Rastacouere (475), Montréal, Quebec | | October 9, 2007 Located in the heart of New brunswick, a bigger town than I had expected. This is a proper pub where food comes in second and they try to brew interesting styles and had a nice variety on when we were there. I can’t say I felt particularly at home though. This was a sunday night and they had a live show on. Competent musicians, but detrimental to conversation at the high volume that they were playing at. Mostly young 25- yrs old crowd when we were there around midnight, but a large party of 50+ yrs old had just left. Lots of TV screens despite the small area of the place. Cheap prices. I only tried 3 of the 8 that were on, but they were satisfying examples. It’s a recommendable place to have a few beers if you’re in the area, but it felt like a regular bar more than a brewpub, thus the service was expeditive. | | cryfreedmb (12), Ocean, New Jersey | | August 9, 2007 Harvest Moon is a great place. The food is good and I really enjoy the beer. However, it was served a bit warmer for my likeings. The place itself is in a great location in downtown New Brunswick. The menu is somewhat unique. If your ever in NB check this place out. | | HoppityHop (45), New Jersey | | July 29, 2007 Decent place ambiance-wise, well-kept and inviting. It’s been ridiculously noisy the two times I’ve been there. Brews are average, with many tasting similar, and the food is nothing exciting. Service is friendly, but since it’s always so crowded and noisy, it’s not going to be perfect. Worth a stop if you’re in (or near) the Key City, but don’t make a 50 mile trek to it. | n49921 (4), does not count - explanation | | July 15, 2007 Rather than try the sampler, took a shot on a few pints. All good. Food was very good. Service was fine.
Passed the beer test from me and the food test from the wife, so will go back soon. | | argo0 (180), Washington DC | | December 25, 2006 Being close to the New Jersey turnpike made it a good stopping point on our way from DC to CT, and we were delighted at what we found. There were 9 beers on tap, all of which were decent, and a few were quite good. We ate upstairs -- the service was good, and the food excellent, if a bit expensive. Definitely worth returning. |
