The bar itself is very nice looking, I thought colonial times with a bit of modern styles thrown in. Very small as well with it only featuring 3 long tables that can fit about 6 to 8 people depending upon the group. Every time I have visited it has never been to crowded with only about 8 to 10 others in the place at the same time. It was great to here very soft playing music, all of it which seemed to range from ambient, classic and modern folk and jazz, light electronic, and newer indie music which is a very popular genre for this area at the moment. It all fits the mode perfectly and if I ever saw this place packed I probably wouldn’t enjoy myself. The service was very good as well. They can explain all the beers on tap as well as any of the bottles they carry with great knowledge. My only complaint would be that their descriptions normally tasted nothing like they described most of the time and some of the descriptions made absolutely no sense. Selection was very unique carrying mostly the rarer imported beers which almost nobody has ever tried, even on this site! My problem with the place seemed to be they only carried 3 taps and 1 cask and both times everything they had on was only decent and horribly overpriced (which I will get to later). Bottle selection was the same, mostly imports and a little overpriced. The food menu was very interesting. They have about 10 different options and the menu is always rotating. Most dishes reminded me of tapas, very small and just enough to sample something different to try with your beer. Some things were a little to eclectic for my taste though. The place is very nice to visit every once in a while but I doubt if anyone can make a habit of returning here frequently due to the outrageous prices they charge. Sure the beer they get is imported but even the ones that weren’t were still about $10 all the way up to $14 for just a pint! Bottle pricing was not much better, and it wouldn’t be so bad if they were all beers you couldn’t find in stores but about half can and were over double the price of them in stores which is a bit absurd considering even other bars have had the same beer for much cheaper.

Hello ! One of the most impressive bar in my East Coast trip. Impressive because they sell the beer like good wine. Ambiance, atmosphere, ... Everything make me think about wine. And this is not wine, this is beer ! Selection’s amazing, best products from various part of the world.

The best place i went to while in New York. Justin has an awesome job! The food menu is small but is creative and everything we tried was excellent! I had the beer cheese and bread, pickled eggs, and the schlenkerla sausages! And the fact they do it all in the small space behind the counter is very impressive. The beer list is not huge but everything on it is awesome!

Tucked in a cute section of Brooklyn’s Park Slope, this tiny eatery is easily overlooked. Its understated black exterior features a small sign, and that is all. Inside there are just three extended picnic tables, but Beer Tables love for good beer and food is immediately evident. The "tap" list includes a hand-picked selection of tough-to-find micros, and often features some imported sours or other unusual beers. I had Hopfenstark, De Dolle, and Captain Lawrence, for example. The food is also wonderful, served as bit-sized h’orderves, all interesting and delicious. A must-go for those looking for local, creative, and very much progressive beer-based dining. My only reservation is that many of Beer Tables selections are on the pricey side.

This very small bar with community seating had a great vibe to it as I went there with friends last night to discover their eclectic beer menu. It was if I was a guest of the house as the owners were talking about their beers. It was expensive, but worth the journey there as I tasted some great lambic and unique beers I had not seen before.

A nice beer bar owned by a married couple, Justin and Tricia, who are awesome people. They have an ever-changing bottle selection organized from lightest to most intense with some really interesting stuff on the list. Service is great - Justin will discuss beers with you and is really knowledgeable. Haven’t tried the food but I hear it’s solid. My one complaint is that it’s pretty damn expensive. Bottle prices can be really steep and when I’ve been there, tap prices have been at least $7.

Pretty small bar in Brooklyn that offers a few rotating taps and a large, above average, bottle lineup. They also had a cask ale available when I was there (Defiant Porter). Prices were a little high for but the beer they had on tap that day weren’t easy to find elsewhere. The owner and bartenders were very knowledgeable and seemingly passionate about there profession. The homemade snacks were amazing, had the jerky and dried watermelon. I’ll definitely go back next time I’m in Brooklyn.

I just wrote a long review and it was lost b/c I went over the character limit. Fucking sucks. Now you get it short and sweet. Small and Pricey but otherwise very nice. 3 taps but they are good.

Very small location, seating for 24-27. Atmosphere is as much beer tasting as it is bar, owners are friendly, knowledgeable, and genuine beer lovers. Music is light background rather something to fight against when trying to converse. 3 taps, changing often, eclectic selection of rare micros, imports, and local special brews. Have consistently had a hand pulled cask open as well. Bottle list of app. 28 beers, representing a wide array of extremely interesting and unique beers, also changing often. Past draught beers have included Cantillon Geueze, Great Divide Oak Aged Yeti, Harviestoun Ola Dubh 30 year (cask), Chelsea Black Hole XXX Stout (cask), Duchesse de Bourgogne Flemish Red, Weyerbacher Hops Infusion (cask). Food is primarily cheese and chaucuterie plate (set to accentuate beers on tap) at the moment, though that may change after the owners get their legs under them a bit.
