4 reviews for Brooklyn Beer and Soda
| JCastner (11), New York | | June 26, 2009 Good basic selection, friendly staff, reasonable prices, and convenient. | | TeamTrappist (13), jericho, New York | | February 12, 2009 I have been here a few times in the last year, and I have seen a marked improvement. The owner is very friendly, and tries to get his hands on whatever you ask for. I kind of jokingly asked him to get a micro brew that is not widely distributed, the next time I went in, months later, he told me that he called the brewery, and offered to drive to Indiana to pick up 100 cases for NY, they laughed at him. The point is that the enthusiasm to satisfy customers is clearly at this establishment, and it is nice to know that. As others have mentioned, nothing rare here, but they are paying enough attention to carry beers like Captain Lawrence, a bunch of standard belgians, and several good american smaller breweries.
| | Rustyham (25), miami, Florida | | January 16, 2009 When there is not much in the way of direct to consumer beer stores, Brooklyn Beer and Soda is your best friend. They bring beer down to a level that you can appreciate (not like those Manhattan snobs and their "wine"). While not the most knowledgeable staff, they do leave their computers on ratebeer.com to answer any questions. | | PilsnerPeter (95), Flushing, New York | | January 12, 2009 This was one of the stores I sold beer to during my experience with Union Beer Distributors. The place is brightly lit and very clean. There are only a few racks in the front with single bottles, and some six packs. Nothing too rare, just the general craft found in the NYC area. The place is huge, with high ceilings and a gigantic layout. The majority of the store is actually stacks of cases, which he sells lots of. It’s mainly wholesale, and the prices are pretty cheap. Really good place, with a nice owner. Good place to go for a six pack at a good price when in the area. |
