4 reviews for Radegast Hall & Biergarten
| CUJO (19), Brooklyn, New York | | August 8, 2009 The look and feel of the place are great... tons of wood and open space, looks rustic. The crowd is typical Williamsburg, glad to see there are still some people that want to drink beer and chill out. The service, sucked! We broke one glass, totally an accident they made us pay! The barmaid knew nothing about the beer she served, was slow and often rude. When we left her a mediocre ti[p for her subpar service, she had the nerve to complain!!! The service ruined it for me for sure... | | PilsnerPeter (95), Flushing, New York | | April 3, 2009 Filled with communal seating (picnic-like tables) that are always mobbed with hipsters. Limited selection to typical European lagers, which are very expensive. Some bottled stuff is available, but limited, and again way overpriced. I’m surprised I forgot to rate this place, as I went once a while ago, and don’t plan on going back. | Maverick34 (5), New York does not count - explanation | | March 13, 2009 Fantastic buildout, Great selection of German & belgians. Sausage is wonderful. Great place. Can get too crowded on Saturdays though and sketchy staffing. Still, can be sublime experience. | | Slipstream (25), | | February 10, 2009 This massive German style bierhall sits in the middle of Brooklyn’s trendy Williamsburg neighborhood. It serves a reasonable selection of German and Austrian beers, both on tap and in bottles. The prices are a little high. I did not try the food, which is one of the major draws for this place, so I can’t comment on that. On a busy Saturday night, the harried waitresses were frantically trying to keep up with the crowd. The best thing about it is the old world atmosphere and size of the place. However, beer maniacs would probably be better off trying other places that offer bigger ranges of unusual brews. |
