November 17, 2006 This place is in Williamsburg not far from Spuytin Duvel. It’s a nice neighborhood supermarket, with a small grocery section. Then towards the back you enter a walk-in cooler with deli counters of fresh meats, fish and cheeses. But the best part is the beer racks. They have, I estimated 250 bottles. They’re all lined up around the perimeter of the huge cooler room; perfect for storing all types of brews. They have all your typical belgians, along with some other nice ones such as Saison DuPont and all the Lindemans. Great micro selection. Most domestic stuff all the way from Avery to Wolavers. I found an old bottle (maybe 3 years old) of Bush de Noel. Hahaha. If you’re in the neighborhood I guess check it out, but nothing to go out of the ways for. But it’s the best supermarket selection I have yet to see. |
