December 9, 2008 Nice place. Food was really good. sandwiches, burgers, BBQ etc. Bartender was extremely friendly & knowledgable. Tap selection was OK. Lots of Long Trail. Cask was on. Decent place |
April 27, 2008 Have only been to the one in Brooklyn and its a nice place. The bar itself has a elclectiv mix of neighborhood/Irish bar, with a craft lineup. Lots of junk lines the bar with some kitschy stuff everywhere, not a new place. Free popcorn is cool, machine does not look new either. Food smelled good and looked good but I did not get any, above average pub quality. Service was normal, bartenders did not seem like the chatter-mouth kind. Its in a good place, far enough away from too many people but close enough to hit up a lot of other beer spots in the area. Did not even look at bottles the tap were diverse enough to find something anyone would like, including locals and some Belgian Inbevs (Leffe Brune, Rodenbach GC, my first sighting of Palm on tap in the states). Others have come across some rarities here on tap as well. Worth a stop if you are beer touring this part of Brooklyn as is. |
