July 14, 2008 I am really surprised this is not on the site already. The establishment has been around for a while and carry some things on tap that are very difficult to come by. I guess thats what happens when you are in upstate NY.Its an easy stop off the Thruway on your way to Albany. Hudson is a nice little city and this place sits on the main street with main other shops. And yes this is a bookstore with a bar and also sells paint supplies. What makes it special is it fills growlers from difficult to find breweries. For example, they seems to always have a few taps from the Albany Pump station, which is a brewpub. I went specifically for Chatham beers which they seem to keep at least 2 on of all times. Plus a few more. Its a converted old firehouse, looks cool, I like books as well. Food wise there were cheese plates and snacks, did not eat but seemed nice. Very recommended stop for growlers of upstate beer. NOTE: bring your own glass, they only sell flip tops and its overpriced. Otherwise a fill cost me 11 bucks.
