Authentic hand pump in use. Lots of exceptional quality, obscure beers on tap from US and UK micros. 15 minute walk from nearest subway.

| Flyer (42), Hartland, Wisconsin | | March 28, 2008 I’m probably getting jaded, but to me Copperfields is only a pretty good beer bar, not in the first rank. The atmosphere is great, clean with classic pub decor, lots of old beer signs and posters. The beer menu is sizable but not huge, but most craft brewers are represented by no more than two beers, except for Smuttynose, Ommegang, and DFH. The fact that they have 120 Minute IPA and Worldwide Stout (in bottles) is a huge plus, but there’s not a lot more that’s really unusual. The waiter may or may not have been beer-savvy, but he made some good recommendations. Food was solid pub fare. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the neighborhood, but if you’re up for going out of your way, you’re much better off heading south to the Blind Tiger or dba. | | TeamTrappist (11), jericho, New York | | March 16, 2008 Was in the neighborhood and ran in for a quick pop. I had been there years before when I lived nearby and remember the food to be better than average bar food. On this trip I found 30 tap beers, well 29 coors light was on tap, but the others were a decent micro brew selection with 4 Lagunitas varieties, smuttynose, goose head, dogfish head, north coast and others. Smallish bottle selection, with a lacking belgian section. No need to run out of your way to this place, but no reason not to stop in if you are close by. | | yobdoog (88), Woodridge, New York | | February 6, 2008 Always a good tap selection at DC whenever I have been there. The food is also pretty good and they have a variety to choose from. A bit far out from where I usually go in the city but its worth the trip up or if you are in the area certianly worth a visit. I like the casks fest they usually do once a year too. | | BREWMUSKCLES (32), WEEHAWKEN, New Jersey | | November 27, 2007 the place is clean and full of rich eastside people eccentric and somewhat friendly though apprehensive within themselves. the bar is marble and the ambiance and service is good. they like ratebeer. the prices are too high except for drafts which are fairly reasonable. the food is crafty and ok. | | crizay (103), Brook Park (was Tampa,FL), Ohio | | September 4, 2007 Had to take a cab here, it’s way off from all the others. Small bar with a long bar and some seats, real quaint. Good selection of beers with 1 cask although a bunch were out which made the selection pretty slim. Service was good and there wasn’t very many people there at night. Prices were good, beer was decent, but the selection was not that great. | | ABUSEDGOAT (57), California | | July 15, 2007 Good selection of taps and bottles, nothing amazing though. Ambiance was typical beer bar atmosphere. Pricing was reasonable. Best part was getting a free $12 bottle as the bartender wanted to try it and said it was free if she could have a shot of it. Didn’t eat there. | | puzzl (50), New York, New York | | May 28, 2007 Good bar with lots of taps, except the selection was very mundane. All easy to find stuff. Also, the condition of the keg of Dale’s Pale I drank was very questionable; I’d wager that it was at least 3 weeks old, and the beer was very very faded. Food was pretty good. | | Sammy (206), Toronto, Ontario | | May 2, 2007 A nice neighbour and family friendly bar in a relatively safe area, clean and both modern and traditional appointments. Being in NYC, this place is abundantly covered in the reviews, its the three-review bar where we make the most useful impact. Reasonably good service, and goodwill by charging my happy hour prices a few minutes past the hour. The bartender knew the beers and had tried them. The selection is good, however less exotic than their cousin bar down the island, Hop Devil Grill. Seems to depend on the week, and the weekend. Selection appears Fresh, good pours, a cask.
| | PilsnerPeter (44), Flushing, New York | | October 25, 2006 Nice ambience. The bar is set up well. Many decorative beer paraphernalia. The selection was nice, with some harder to find ones like Cape Anns Pumpkin Stout and Sly Fox Raspberry Reserve. Allow samples from the taps. | | hopscotch (135), Vero Beach, Florida | | June 13, 2006 Nice place to throw darts and drink really good craft beer from the tap or on cask. Haven’t eaten there. Sat at the bar a few times. Service was good. Bar staff was reasonably knowledgeable. Dark, and sort of dank . My kind of place. | View Page : 1 2 3
