nothing much to add.. a busy place with a decently large bottle selection, six packs, singles and bombers. Think strategically when you’re going to come and do your shopping or you’ll be on line for a long time.

Why go here for beer when there’s a Whole Foods with their own quality beer store just a subway ride away (Bowery)? Expectedly crowded, considering it’s in the heart of Union Square across the from the Farmer’s Market, which is not cool when it comes to casually browsing beers because in this beer enthusiast hobby, who wants to feel rushed while selecting a quality ale? #15 on 12102009 DG.

I’d say this one mirrors the selection at the bowery whole foods, but has a more limited selection and no taps. Also this place gets damn packed, which means it takes a while to check out even if you only have 1 beer.

Very busy store with good selection of bottles in the basement. I had to explain to the cashier that I wasn’t going to a party but that their selection puts Ontario beer/LCBO stores to shame so I was stocking up for my return to Canada.

Located just south of the Union Square Market. Very busy but has a good bottled selection and a pretty solid cheese selection as well.

Whole Foods (Union Square South) is the 3rd best of the four Manhattan Whole Foods, as of 11/07. The beer selection is quite good and beats any grocery chain in town. The neighborhood is central.
