Right now, one of the two best places to get draft beer in Oswego. King Arthur’s is the place to go for site-brewed beer, but Greene’s is your best bet for craft beers. Recent highlights have included Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA and Lagunitas IPA. New taps are rotated in regularly. Greene’s is especially fine on a sunny day, as they’ve got a lot of porch space and are not too close to the busy street. The menu has improved from a couple years ago, but I’d say your best bet is still The Sub Shop across the street. (The Beef on Wick is a favorite of mine, and don’t miss the signed photo of Al Roker, who frequented The Sub Shop as a SUNY-Oswego student way back when). Greene’s won’t mind if you import food from The Sub Shop, as they’re owned by the same family and share the parking lot. Greene’s is more of a sports bar than a beer-geeks’ bar, but if you like that kind of thing, it should serve you well.

Fairly plain and unwelcoming bar at the western end of the towncore. Weathered carpet and worn faces. Lots of taps but little interesting. Seemed to be the local student hangout.

March 2005. Run of the mill bar with character’s of all sorts at the bar. 3 Custom Brewer’s on tap plus a few interesting offerings (Ubu, Blue moon White, Sierra Nevada Celebration ale). A big tap collection shows what they had in the past: Pocono, Rogue, Ipswich, Dock Street, etc... Food is decent, had the BBQ beef sandwich for 4.95$.

August 26, 2006 the Beer selection was much more interesting, they got rid of the Craft Brewers offerings, which were not selling, and went for good quality taps, amongst others: Hop Devil, Wagner Valley Sled Dog Doppelbock, Harpoon Summer ale, Magic Hat #9 , SNPA, Dead Guy Ale, Ithaca Apricot. Had a delicious Reuben Sandwich for 6,99$ with fries.
