RateBeer Brew Tour Guide's Comments
The large, bright windows off Market Street gaze into a rare gem of Northern New York state filled with wood floors and trim, light olive walls decorated with floral paintings. A nice place to take your Grandma... but the 40' bar features 21 taps would be your summons. Among the breweries one can samples are: Anchor (CA), Davidson Brothers (NY), Lake Placid (NY), Harpoon (MA), Otter Creek (VT), Sierra Nevada (CA), Smuttynose (NH) and Victory (PN). The food is a delightful fusion of Far East and Exotic Americana. Wednesday is "Flips Night" - the bartender flips a quarter and you have to guess heads or tails. Should you guess correctly you don't have to pay.

| Lubiere (94), Ottawa, Ontario | | March 13, 2004 [ Updated November 12, 2004 ] I concur with the Cap, this place is enjoyable, friendly service, abd excellent food. We had the Gulay Lampsi (filipino rolls) and the Lobster maki roll for beginners, with a Mushu chicken wrap and a turkey melt sandwich with sweet red onions. Yummy stuff. decent $$$. Update Nov. 12 2004. Still great food, had Bear Republic Hop Rod Rye on tap, and Acme IPA in bottle. I had the Roast beef Panini with Wasabi Mayo....Mmmm. | | CapFlu (178), Victoria, British Columbia | | March 13, 2004 A very good restaurant "hidden" on the main drag of bustling Potsdam, New York. Staff seems to have a good grasp of the breweries they carry and some knowledge. Fun place for a weekend drive - about 1hr 20min from Ottawa. Also see CJ's and Besset's which are on the way... |
