| Magjayran (18), Durham, North Carolina | | July 5, 2006 I remember when this place was competing for best selection in town with over 100 total beers including tap and bottles. You can still get some good bottles there (Rogue XS series being the best) but the draft selection has gotten pretty weak with SNPA and Red Hook IPA being the highlights. Has become a very BMC and liquor drink heavy place. A lot of the regulars give me the impression that a little more than drinking is going on if you know what I mean. Used to be one of my favorite bars years ago, it’s not anymore. | | General_Gao (207), Iowa City, Iowa | | January 15, 2006 [ Updated April 19, 2006 ] Bar on Main Street in Durham in Brightleaf Square. There is free parking half a block away. Small patio out front which consists of a few benches. The place is pretty smoky usually, but they have about 15 draught beers including about 10 micros. They also have about 50 bottled beers. Located right down the street from Federal and James Joyce Pub, so it is easy to visit them all in one fell swoop if you’re swinging through as a beer seeking tourist. |
