Big place. Lots of seating outside. $2.75 drafts on Mondays. I’ve had great service both times I’ve been there. Generally cute waitresses in short skirts! Great selection, but I did get a pint that wasn’t all that fresh. Try to stick to beers that they go through quickly or whatever is listed as new up on the chalkboard.

Got there fairly early on Friday before the WBF, and glad we did - It got crowded pretty quick. Nevertheless, we thought the service was pretty good - our waitress was attentive and kept our glasses full. Selection was good, was albe to find a nice mix of new stuff and old favorites. Overall, I’m guessing this is pretty typical of Flying Saucers - and that’s a good thing.

Bleh. Lots of saucers! All over the walls and ceiling. Food quality average and overpriced. Great beer selection, but I was a bit peeved when they took my beer order of a beer that was posted on a chalkboard, only to inform me later that they had been out since two days before. Service friendly but inept.

Terrific beer bar within walking distance to the Greyhound bus station (long story). Free Wi-fi if you ask your server for the password du jour. The selection is as awesome as all Saucer locations. I particularly recommend the North Carolina flight if you’re from out of town. I was impressed with several of the local offerings. Waitresses are unsurpassed in their beauty if not their service.

Pretty nice bar in downtown Raleigh. I went on an afternoon and there were lots of people on the patio which seemed alive and inviting, but I stuck to the inside. In the corner there were some comfortable couches and it made for a chat. Beer selection is pretty good, lots to chose from in terms of US micros with some germans and belgians thrown in the mix. I also thought that the theme of the bar was pretty interesting with the plates lineing the walls of the bar. Very high ceiling which I don’t always care for, but I had a nice relaxing time here. Can’t imagine what this place is like thogh when pints are $2.50.

Top notch selection. Look for "fire sale" prices on a beer that is about to go bad, and Monday’s "pint night," often crowded but a good deal regardless.

Large bar/restaurant with tons of tables and a massive wall of taps. Largest beer selection I have ever seen in a bar. Food was standard bar fare (i.e. nothing fancy, but decent). Servers were friendly and fairly knowledgeable. They knew exactly what they were out of without having to go back and check, which was nice. One major problem........it was quite smoky, which I can’t stand. Still, an awesome bar that I wish we had here in Orlando.

April 2007, the night before the World Beer Festival -- one word review: awesome! Superb beer list wtih a huge number of quality brews available on tap. The menu is limited, but we ate was good. The service was attentive, if she didn’t know much about beer. This is a MUST stop in Raleigh, just be prepared for a loud place.
