3 reviews for Whole Foods Market, Winston-Salem
| dkachur (114), Charlottesville, Virginia | | March 5, 2009 Good beer selection, including a couple of Cantillons and others not typical of a Whole Foods. Lots of American micros and local brews. Prices are decent. Ambience is fairly typical Whole Foods. Staff in the beer sections was fairly nonexistent. Parking is a pain. A few singles are available, but they won’t allow you to break sixers. Overall a decent stop. | | Butters (150), Virginia | | October 12, 2008 The beer selection was actually impressive, for a grocery store. Mostly singles of belgian imports and sixers of amercan micros. Some regionals, but not many. They did have a few things that I didn’t see at city beverage. The sushi was some of the best i’ve ever had from a grocery store, even though it was pricey. This is a good place to check for beers if you already shop here. | | OldGrowth (107), North Carolina | | May 23, 2007 [ Updated February 8, 2009 ] Newer looking building, in a plaza just a short hop of Rt 40 (Business)/421 exit 3c. Typical Wholefoods so I’ll let that speak for itself. Didn’t ask for or need help so score is in middle. The Beer is toward the back near the prepared foods area. Looked like about 100 feet of shelves altogether. 5-20 foot sections Good mix of local, widely available crafts and imoprts. Duck Rabbit, Highland, Thomas Creek amongst the locals, Sam Adams Sierra Nevada, Some Cantillon, Hoegarden and other widely distributed Euro’s. Didn’t notice the Whole Foods labeled stuff, didn’t look too hard either. Not as good as the Raleigh or Cary store, Probably not gonna find any gems, but if your visiting the area couldn’t hurt to check it out. |
