Great tight selection, lots of rareties including some hard-to-find vintages. All the expected offerings from Stone, Bell’s, Rogue, and others. The staff is helpful but the layout’s a bit cluttered (not sure if they were doing inventory or if it was just the normal clutter there). I live only several minutes from this establishment, I am a beverage & bar manager at a fine dining establishment right around the corner from Vintage. Quite close to a perfect bottle shop, even has taps in the back. Picked up some east and west coast stuff (Alesmith!) that I cannot get in the midwest. Other than family impatiently waiting in the car and a thousand miles to go, could’ve spent part of the afternoon there. Talk about a about an incredible gem in the middle of what feels like micro beer hell. The new tasting room is incredible and a lot of fun, plus there is a patio. The service is the best I have seen. Phil took me around the store and introduced me to all the rare and really good stuff he has. He still has a good supply of hop slam ! I didn’t find the prices as reasonable as others on this site. Stopped here on my way to Wisconsin from North Carolina to the Great Lakes Beer festival in September 2007. Outstanding selection of beer. Service was excellent. The trip here from south of PIttsburgh was worth it. Other than a few notables, it wasn’t the selection that blew me away. The selection is similar to some of our better bottle shops. It was the prices and service that puts this place head and shoulders above anywhere I have ever been. |
