RateBeer Brew Tour Guide's Comments
Conveniently located on the west side, just minutes from downtown Cleveland, Rozi’s has got to have the best selection of Belgian beers in this part of the state. When I first visited the store, I thought their selection looked a little small, but after spending over ten minutes browsing, I realized they have 250-300 different brews to choose from. It seems that their selection grows every time I visit. You can ’mix-a-six’ from their rack of single bottles for $8.99. Vintage ales carried. They have a cooler and beer-friendly lighting. The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly. If you visit, tell them you’re from Ratebeer so they can look you up!

DMRz (5), Durham, North Carolina does not count | | September 27, 2008 Rozi’s is my favorite beer store in Cleveland. Their selection of beer, while not the largest in the area, is by far the best in terms of quality and hard to find brews. Almost everything is available in singles at reasonable prices. Service is where Rozi’s really shines - they are happy to be as hands on or hands off as you prefer, and their knowledge of beer is extensive and current. They are willing to hold beer for you if you are coming from a distance. Also, for some reason Rozi’s always seems to be able to get their hands on greater quantities of rare releases than their competitors, but they do often sell out quickly. If you are visiting Cleveland I highly recommend stopping here! | | Brigadier (68), Chagrin Falls, Ohio | | July 30, 2008 Other than the parking (hint go on a Saturday and you can park for free) I have no complaints about this place. The selection isn’t the largest but it is diverse and covers everything you could want. Good finds here that are harder to get around town include anything just released and small operations like Mad Brewer which I’ve only ever seen at 101 Bottles in Kent. The people here know their stuff as well. If you happen to be on the west side of Cleveland it is worth your time to stop by. | | PorterPounder (160), Tallahassee, Florida | | July 26, 2008 Stopped by here in late July ’08. Helpful staff - ask to help - but do not hover. Friendly, knowledgeable of RB. Excellent selection of top end brews. Picked a Speedway Stout and a few other gems here. Not a huge selection of miscellaneous singles - but after seeing the Alesmiths and Stone etc - I quickly forgot about racking up the tickings and focused on quality. Lots of home brew supplies and plenty of glassware. Plenty of cheap parking nearby. Worth going out of your way for. | ewestern (4), Ohio does not count | | July 23, 2008 Nice atmosphere, as has been said beer does not account for large portion of the store. This does not stop the staff from being knowledgeable or extremely helpful. Their selection is pretty good and I like they post on the forums here when they get new stuff in. Its the dedication to its customers that makes this store great. | | Glouglouburp (142), Montreal, Quebec | | May 15, 2008 A cool little store. Beer accounts for about 25% of the space. Not a big selection but some interesting beers. On the American front you’ve got your classics such as Speedway Stout, AleSmith IPA and so on but nothing that really stands out. You won’t find extra-cool beer here. The import section is small but has a few interesting items. From what I could see the problem with that store is that it is well located, it has a steady clientele and do not stack-up much beers in the back. So when something really good and not common hits the shelves it sells-out pretty fast. Unless you’re lucky with a good timing you won’t find the “wow!” beer there. But what really stands out is the staff. Never have I felt like someone as willing to help me. I wanted to score some Ola Dubh 30 Year Old and the guy turned the store inside-out to see if they had any left. You need to make a stop there, it’s only 5 minutes away from the Great Lakes brewpub. | | rudolf (54), Buffalo, New York | | March 14, 2008 I’ve been to Rozi’s 3 or 4 times now and it is always a great experience. Employees have always been wonderful (Brian years ago, now Corey) and have put stuff aside for me when they knew I was coming. The selection isn’t the world’s largest but everything they have is top notch. No mediocre beers to be found. This is my one must stop place when I go to Cleveland. | fiver29 (9), Strongsville, Ohio does not count | | February 20, 2008 The best store in Cleveland to buy beer in. They carry a variety of imports/local stuff/rare beers that can’t be found anywhere else in the city. They also seem to have an edge on getting the latest beers in first. They get a couple shipments a week and are constantly selling out of what they get within days. If you are coming in from out of town I would call and see what they have coming in over the next week or so. If anything sounds good to you ask them to hold it for you and they will oblige. Staff is very friendly and willing to help any way they can. Great place. | Thprovider (1), Cleveland, Ohio does not count | | February 2, 2008 Probably the best beer store in Cleveland. More of a wine store with a beer section, but what they have in the beer section is very solid, probably about 250 different beers on the day I visited. A very solid selection of Belgian beers. I picked up some Koningheaven, Mikkeller, AleSmith, Rochefort 10, Hoppin Frog and Bells on my visit. A very knowledgeable and friendly staff. selection changes on an almost daily basis. Highly recommended | | dankman38 (12), Somewhere in, Ohio | | July 11, 2007 [ Updated May 21, 2008 ] Nice sized store that is easy to shop in, they carry a decent selection of beers and a very good selection of wine. This is one of two locations, I find this one a much better than the other location when it come to handling of their beer, but that is most likely because they sell much more of it. The store help is knowledgeable and friendly. Great place to buy beer. | | mabel (71), Toronto, Ontario | | July 4, 2007 The store is quite a large room with high ceilings, wooden floors, and every item placed below eye-level -- not particularly busy on a Saturday morning. Helpful staff members held back from our charging, beer-searching group until we looked ready to ask questions, which they then happily answered. More of a wine place than beer, there were a few fridge doors of solid local stuff, a fridge of imported gems, another two or three with cold crap, and a couple of wooden shelves packed with interesting 6-packs and mixes -- these mostly sated our cravings for bringing stuff back to Canada but we decided to stop elsewhere to top up. Worth a look. | View Page : 1 2 3 4
