Don’t let the mom and pop grocery store facade fool you. Excellent selection of microbrews and imports.

| bgburdman9 (22), Columbus, Ohio | | April 23, 2006 Had some pretty good stuff, but a lot of it was old and dusty. I actually saw the first hair of the dog beer here. They actually had some descent variety packs and a few smaller midwest brews i have never seen before. | | OhioDad (38), Hilliard, Ohio | | October 20, 2005 Stopped in here last night after seeing Dogbrick’s rating. Interesting place. Just a small local grocery store with a huge selection of micros and imports. They had many beers that I haven’t seen elsewhere in central Ohio. Lots of Two Brothers, Lakefront, Bells, DFH, Avery.. Many Belgians and other imports too. I noticed that some of the stuff looks pretty old.. Lots of dust on the bottles so beware of that.. Like some leftovers from last Christmast. But for a grocery store to have this kind of selection is fantastic! Nice place! | | Dogbrick (188), Columbus, Ohio | | April 19, 2004 This is another one of those places where you would not think to stop if not for word of mouth. On the north end of Old Worthington, Jubilee is a mom & pop type grocery store (you know, the kind that still puts price stickers on the products) that just happens to have an impressive selection of beer. The parking lot is small but so is the store.
The beer section is in the back and is very good. They have plenty of singles, 6ers, cases and sampler packs. You can find beers from Otter Creek, Two Brothers, Bluegrass, North Coast, Unibroue, Rogue and Avery along with the usual stuff. Beers can be found at room temp and in a cooler. My one complaint with the selection is that there doesn’t appear to be anything local/regional like GLBC or Columbus Brewing.
Don’t expect to get much in the way of knowledgeable staff since this is primarily a grocery store. I didn’t see a soul in the area other than a stocker when I went.
Overall this is worth a stop if you are in the Worthington area, but don’t expect to find much in the way of local goodies if you are visiting. |
