This place does deserve to be on the Toronto metro list, as it is now one of the finest beer bars in the city. A great mix of Ontario micros (both Dennison’s, Mill St. , Black Oak) along side the necessary Irish and imports (this place is Irish owned and patronized heavily). What surprised me was the level of beer knowledge from the bartenders (I played dumb one visit). The food is upscale and top notch, the atmosphere fantastic. You won’t find any hard to get rare beers here (and I wish they would update their website), but I agree with Stephen Beaumont’s recent ranking of this alongside Volo, Smokeless, and Beer Bistro as premiere Toronto beer destinations.

Went there last night with two friends. Food is absolutely amazing. Summertime specials menu where everything is cooked out back on a grill, all meats are organically fed, no preservatives or chemicals added. Large beer selection is written on a blackboard on the wall. Extensive scotch/whiskey selection as well. Started with a McAuslan Apricot Wheat Ale and finished with a Rochefort 8.
