| Oakes (323), Miami Beach, Florida | | September 26, 2008 What used to be the brewery is now a brewpub. A long list of quality seasonals is the main highlight. Though busy and it maintains a fairly relaxed, if slightly corporate, feel. Service was generally good. | | Beershine (75), Miami Beach, Florida | | September 18, 2008 Lively modern brewpub in atmospheric Distillery district. 12 house beers, no macros or guest taps. Best opportunity to sample the brewer’s wares. Had a spot-on hoppy pils when I was there and the helles bock is nice too. | | Rastacouere (408), Montréal, Quebec | | August 28, 2008 I must say I adored the Distillery district. I wish they did such a project in Montreal. The ice cream at Soba’s was excellent. As far as Mill Stree goes, their building is of course spectacular. Completely packed place feeling touristy and not quite a place you’d want to spend hours in, but I guess it has to be visited once, especially that there are lots of taps here, some of which are not bottled or extremely hard to find. Efficient service, offering free samples despite the heavy business. | | robinvboyer (19), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario | | August 7, 2008 I love Mill Street brews, their Tankhouse ale introduced me to hops. Very nice decor, excellent line up of their beers on tap. The food is nothing to brag about, but it’s well made, and tasty. The furniture is a little cheap, and flimsy, and i hate that you will never have the same server for a whole evening. | | garthicus (22), Toronto, Ontario | | June 15, 2008 Lovely interior, great mixture of new and old. The beer selection is all theirs, which is just fine, all served in the proper glassware. The food was fantastic, everyone of our table of 10 agreed. We sat outside on the patio, we were well served and our waitress was very proactive and as more friends joined us and our table grew and grew, she remembered all of our orders without missing a beat. A very enjoyable day and evening was spent here (and a considerable amount of cash too!) and I will return for sure :-) | matt7215 (8), Cambridge, Ontario does not count | | April 20, 2008 [ Updated September 3, 2008 ] a great place to go. all their beers are good and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. small samples are availible free in their store and the dining area is awesome. if i lived closer i would frequent this place. highly recomended! | | The_Jester (13), Peterborough, Ontario | | March 12, 2008 Great location, ambiance, and atmosphere. (The Distillery District is an old, well, distillery district, that has been fixed up and colonized by (mostly) upscale shops and restaurants.) Inside, it is clean, spacious, and appropriately decorated, with the glass-walled brewery itself being the focal point. The Mill Street beers cover a decent range of the beer spectrum, with all of their commercially-available products, along with some extras, seasonals, and a cask. All (that I have tried) are acceptable to very good. The food is what you’d expect at a brew pub, but well done. No reason not to visit if you’re in Toronto. | Contrucci (4), , Chile does not count | | February 16, 2008 Great place in a recycled ancient distillery that adds a lot of ambiance in and out of the pub. Visiting during a snowstorm it’s a plus, it enhances cozyness. Great food. | | JoeMcPhee (202), Jackson Heights, New York | | January 7, 2008 Nice quaint brewpub in a converted industrial area. There is a small outdoor seating area that I prefer, but that’s just me. Not a huge selection, but the quality of the beers is pretty solid. Add the great ambience of the distillery district in general, and it’s definitely a worthy stop on the Toronto brew tour. | View Page : 1 2 3
