| ckstanley (11), Vancouver, Washington | | November 16, 2009 Deschutes Brewery has been a long awaited place I have wanted to visit and I finally had an opportunity this Summer.
Being one of my favorite breweries I was glad to get a chance to stop in. The food was GREAT, the service was good (even though our server had a broken leg..ouch).
Beers were of course just what we expect from Deschutes, Excellent.
Nothing but impressed. Hands down, if you are driving through Bend, you have to stop at the Deschutes Brewery. | | billk (35), Coeur d’Alene, Idaho | | September 7, 2009 Nothing world class here but it is an oasis in a relatively barren area. Get the sampler (you get to pick the 6-4ozers you want) because it’s hard to tell what’s what with some of the quirky beer names and descriptions.
Pints and smaller size glasses offered. The food is good with good sized servings without being big city expensive.
I’d be sure to stop here any time I’m in the hood to see what’s on tap. | | hayduke (10), Eureka, California | | April 9, 2009 I spent the night in Bend on trip back home from seeing my kids and grandkids in Idaho, so finally made it here. Very crowded on a Saturday night but the squeezed us in at a location near the entrance. The were lots of special beers tap, service was excellent in spite of the crowd and the food very good. I see why this place is so popular. Good food, good beer, good service, and good atmosphere makes a winning combination. A must stop for the beer geek. | | BuckeyeBoy (58), Boise, Idaho | | March 25, 2009 We stopped in a while back for out Bend/Hood River 36hr turn around. Very sweet. Tons of stuff on tap. All the normal run along with another lineup. And then the X Tap. Great idea. The food was great. I had a garlic (like a whole clove) burger. Very nice place. | | shotgunn (10), Boise, Idaho | | March 6, 2009 Absolutely loved this place. The wife and I went on the brewery tour got 4 samplers there and then they recommended the Public House. The atmosphere was great, the waiter was nice and very knowledgeable about the beer. They almost had too much of a selection of beer. They probably had 6 that were only available there, the only way to take them home was to purchase a growler. I had the Knight Rider IPA, it was exceptional. The food was also excellent. A little pricey overall, but you get what you pay for, which is great food and beer. Strongly recommend. | | fakepurseninja (50), Washington | | July 22, 2008 So thats why they call it the Bond St beer series! Very nice atmosphere in historic DT Bend. Lots of specialty brews on tap, lots of things for sale, a tad spendy. Service was sub-par unfriendly, unresponsive, unpleasant. Who would have thought that this giant does not have the best brewpub even within the city of Bend? | Senormac (2), Springfield, Oregon does not count - explanation | | July 17, 2008 Went to Bend for anniversary number 18 with wife. Very nice place with excellent and fast service. Murals and TV’s around with some cool photo pictures too. Not much artwork....but still good ambiance of beer loving patrons. In a very cool part of town....the old downtown part of town. Not real big......but never had any trouble getting a seat. Bar area is separate from food area. Very nice! | | WeeHeavySD (102), San Diego (Hillcrest), California | | February 13, 2008 Was there on 1/1/08 with Bikesandbeer, and even though the website said they’d be closed they were open. Didn’t eat, but food looked good, it was awfully crowded earlier in the night when we went by. Great selection of beers, very helpful staff. Overall a very good time, dissapointed by expensive growlers and lack of stock of apparel, but the beer is what counts and it was good. | | Taverner (77), San Ramon, California | | January 11, 2008 Excellent place to hit after a day of skiing at Bachelor, or any time you’re in Bend. They do some great beers that are pub only. | | Crit (117), New Westminster, British Columbia | | June 17, 2007 [ Updated September 9, 2008 ] Great line up of all their beers including an X tap. Bartender was very attentive and friendly. Had six tasters I paid for, and he gave me tasters of all the rest for free.
One of my favorites |
