18 reviews for Rogue Ales Public House/ House of Rogue Bed and Beer
MuluAle (5), , Colorado does not count - explanation | | August 1, 2009 Good selection of Rogue beer. Pub food was standard fare. Very family friendly. A little on the expensive side for brewery beer and food. This was the second visit to this location. It gets very crowded in the summer season so get there early. | | pantani (65), Salinas, California | | October 19, 2008 Close to the beaches and waterfront. Service was horrible at first but got much better at the bar- had 4 rogue beers I haven’t had. | | dkoonce (25), People’s Republic of Athens, Ohio | | August 21, 2008 In a rundown old bar. The selection of Rogue beers was fairly extensive. The food was OK, just OK. The service was not that great, as the wait for a half empty place was not really acceptable. | | BuckeyeBoy (58), Boise, Idaho | | May 24, 2008 I have stopped in this place a couple of times. Not only do they have a great selection of the Rogue brews. They also have a few guest brews on all the time. The last time I was in on the night before we went out deep sea fishing. WOW that was not a good idea. Talk about sea sick. Next time I think i will stop in after the fishing trip. | Scoutman (5), does not count - explanation | | October 5, 2007 Cool place, but service was lousy. Lots of cool pictures from the fire. | | mikebeertaster (23), vancouver, Washington | | September 8, 2006 Nice clean place in a good location. It is a family friendly location with lots of good Rogue beers to choose from. I have always enjoyed myself here. I have always had good service from the staff. It isn’t a place I would want to hang out in all day like some cool pubs, but it is a place to go for good beer in a small costal town. | | unclemattie (104), Georgia | | June 24, 2006 LONG LIVE THE ROGUE NATION! This place is right in the little shopping district on the other side of the bay from the brewery. Great view of the big bridge parallel to the Ocean. Little store to buy beer in the bottle as you walk in. Amazing hospitality. Absolutly genuine people. The Public House in Newport has been one of my favorite places to stay while on vacation in Oregon. When in Newport you must stop here. Good pizza. Great Kobe burger w/ Bleu and a Santa’s Private... Great taste of America!!! Plan to stay all day with the awesome locals. Charlie, Chris, Jim were all great. Thanks again, and see you all soon!!!! Once again John C. Maier is an Artisan Brewmaster of the World. Thank you John!! Prost | | harlequinn (112), Tacoma, Washington | | May 26, 2006 Alot of fun, to go and try some good beer and hang out with the locals. Not much rare beer on tap, just the usual Rogue fare, but fun and worth experiencing nonetheless. | | BrewDad (239), Olympia, Washington | | February 13, 2006 Now a much better timehere the service is a tad better. They still on slow days are so not there. Busy they step up. I hope it will get better. There beers rock the place is awwesome to look at the food is good the setting is great. Service sucks still. | | Oakes (422), Kowloon, Hong Kong | | February 11, 2006 Casual pub...though the pub has a smoking section. That’s retarded. All the Rogue brews, with some Issaquah and Eugene stuff as well. I like the place, but there’s not much rare beer there. The chili had stout in it and it dominated the flavour. First time I’ve struggled through a chili that wasn’t from a can. Nice location along a touristy waterfront strip. Not bad, but not a mecca. |
