7 reviews for Beaumont Market
| bhensonb (291), Woodland, California | | December 12, 2009 Walk in beer cooler. No problem, It was colder outside (below freezing I think). Really good selection. Must have been 15 or 20 beers I had never seen, let alone rated. Don’t forget to take a hand basket into the cooler. Didn"t run into the beer guy, but the dude in charge was ok for casual discussion. Hit Belmont Station and this place. | | Beardface (35), Eugene, Oregon | | May 19, 2009 Small market with an excellent beer cooler that I actually missed seeing at first when I was in there. The selection is really jampacked and excellent for the small amount of space. Props for the "Deal Corral" as well. | | leems (27), Portland, Oregon | | May 18, 2009 This place is funny, it’s a small neighborhood grocery with a great beer cooler along the back wall. The selection is usually quite impressive, tons of Mikeller, Stone, Ale Smith, Russian River, and everything else you can want in Oregon. They also have a "Deal Corral" which holds stuff for some percent off. I recently got a Jackie Brown for $3 off the normal price! This is a fun place to visit when you don’t want to make the trek to John’s, Belmont Station, or all the way up to Vancouver. | | ¾ (599), Colorado | | November 18, 2008 Very small beer cooler set against the back wall of a small grocery. The cooler room is probably 14 feet long by 8 feet deep - that small - but boasts a respectable selection that impresses with quality over quantity. Being so small there will of course be some things that you would expect that they have - meaning some rare releases that hit the Portland area - yet they don’t, but overall it’s a really good mix of high quality bottles, and prices are a little above average but still fair. Quite close to Concordia Alehouse and McMenamins Kennedy School. | | hogfodder (34), Seattle, Washington | | May 19, 2008 I cannot believe how much this place has changed for the better over several years. I was amazed with some of the beers found here. Great beer selection with pretty extreme range. Total geek field trip-worthy. Orkney Dark Island Reserve for $29. I’m a total idiot for not buying that. Worth it. The beer is probably much better kept here vs. John’s Market, and possibly Belmont Station too. It’s in funky Fremont and you would never know this was a killer beer spot unless someone told you. I feel like I’m making a mistake writing about it because it is such an awesome hidden gem. Love the walk-in cooler setting. Service is only going to be good if you are there when Justin is. He’s the only one who knows what’s up. | | troopie (40), | | May 4, 2007 Walk in beer cooler. Some space is wasted on macros available. They have a lekker selection of Belgians, and some craft beers that Belmont Station doesn’t have. A good beer trek should involve stops at both places. | hannont (3), Portland, Oregon does not count - explanation | | June 20, 2006 John’s Market, Belmont Station, and Liquid Solutions have more extensive selections but this Mom & Pop market is a contender and their prices are very reasonable. Best of all...their beer buyer will bend over backwards to obtain requested beers. I absolutely love this place. Panil, Jolly Pumpkin, Drie Fonteinen and Fantome are just a few of the quality brewerys you’ll find represented here. I’m guessing that they have 300+ different beers. If you are heading to Concordia Ale House do yourself a favor and check out this gem. |
