This is an off the wall hard to find place if you are not looking for it. But if you’re near Siletz Oregon which means you’re either a trucker or a logger or a beer geek like the rest of us you have found it. The drive is good lots of great trees to look at but be sure to have a good car and drive safe the road is crazy and very curvy. The Pub is an old roadhouse pub and yes just like the movie this place is nasty inside. Sorry but that is the best I can say. It was smoked filled and that was not for a new smoked beer they just brewed. They do have a family area if you call it that and the usual bar area. It is for the truckers, loggers and townies. Hit it and get out is my motto. We got our beers we wanted we paid for them and left. They brewery is adjacent to the Pub and was running full tilt. The beer is actually very good so they have demand for there product. The chocolate porter is sought after and people love the spruce beer also. So if near here and have an hour to kill take Hwy 229 have a great drive see the place. Remember you’re in a small town and think back to the movie “Roadhouse.” And we thought it would be bigger. The beers are worth the drive the place is just a dive. On to more places day 4 tomorrow - Oregon Coast Summer Brewery Tour 2008 continues.

Roadhouse feel, overlwhelming smoke, and this place made me feel very uncomfortable. Scary buttrock chic dancing to loudass 80s music in front of the jukebox, while her fat truck driver boyfriend looked and as she would fucksinging the lyrics to him. Scary! All the samples I tried were infected except for one. I finished my half pint of barleywine paid my tab and raon out the door. I would never go back to this place again.

We were there on New Years day 2006. Other than a few hung-over locals, we were pretty much the only ones there. Beer was great, food was acceptable. The bartender was very friendly and had solid opinions about their wide selection of excellent beers. Yes, it is a roadhouse-type place and a bit of a dive by our city-slicker standards. No, it probably wouldn’t go over so well in an urban, trendy, hip urban neighborhood. But for cryin’ out loud people, this is Siletz – a tiny little town in the middle of timber country. The beer is outstanding and award winning. If you are trolling for good beer in that part of the world, it’s a must. Whether you are coming from the Newport/Toledo side or from the Lincoln City side, it is a nice drive in the country, just bring a designated driver because the roads are curvaceous.

Just as the previous members have comented on this "Roadhouse", I too, feel it as a smoky steak and potato restaurant that’s popular with the butt rock locals. Brewery next door is nice but damn, this place has character. Very nice staff though, blairing loud juke box playing 80s rock with a busted speaker. Crap load of beers on tap as well as their fabulous chocolate porter. Most of the beers are available to go in bottles too if you so desire. Man, the beer really doesn’t match the ambiance.

Liked their beers a lot. odd location for brewpub, just looks like some country local where you’d expect Bud Lite etc to be the only beers on tap. Friendly lady behind the bar, i enjoyed their beers a lot. I don’t know if this place was odd, or just different.

This place is a dive. Looks like the taphouse is in a trailer. They have all of the Siletz offerings on tap and do a good sampler tray, but the server was a local who acted like she didn’t even know the place was a brewery. Old grumpy men sat at the bar and laughed about the craft beer while drinking down their Hamms, and the smoke just too overpowering. Very blue collar place, reminded me of Rambo the movie. (Rerate - after seeing Reid’s rating I thought it was funny that we both saw the Hamm’s drinking locals... probably the same dudes each time)

Visited this place for the first time last saturday as the wife was working. The town of Siletz is quite out of the way..well down a very windy road from Lincoln City..I almost missed the pub..just happened to see a stack of kegs as I passed the brewery..the pub is tucked in right beside it. Have to say this is just a regular blue collar bar..with pool table etc..large local crowd drinking Hamms on draught of all things..havent seen Hamms on draught for quite some time. Great quality brews all the regulars plus a red ale on seasonal. Also afraid has Hamms and Bud on tap and Coors in bottles..ah well have to serve the local crowd afterall. I got great and welcoming service from the barmaid..very good. The food was pretty tasty too..and quite inexspensive..had a nice &quo;Renegade Burger&quo;. Overall a good place to have a few beers kick back and shoot some pool.
