We drove up on Sunday for some lunch. The ambiance was okay. It seemed a little too cluby for me. The theme centers around the steel industry that once thrived there. Like many steel towns, it died after the mills closed. It’s a shame. This is a nice looking place with a lousy location. The service was lack-luster. At one point we asked for dessert menus and our server disappeared for 10 minutes. The food was decent, but nothing to get excited about. I had the sesame tuna. The desserts were excellent though. They eight beers on tap. All of their regulars and: Hefeweizen, Spring Ale, and Grand Cru. The Grand Cru was a big buttery mess. The Hop Explosion and porter were pretty good. Their Pilsner was also well made. Overall, it was a decent trip. It’s a bit far from me. I’d go again if I were in the area, but it’s not worth the trip.

Stopped in after the 08 Weyerbacher Open House. Similar in feel to the Bethlehem Brew Works. The food was solid but nothing that really stood out (at least from the sandwiches and soups we had). The beers were all average to just above average. Servers were friendly.

I stopped in on a Thursday night (martini night!). It has long interior space with high ceilings and two levels, with a trendy and modern decor. The surface of the bar is internally illuminated, which is pretty cool (except for rating appearance). The bar also had two HD TVs which was nice for watching the NCCA Tournament. The crowd seems to be a good mix of locals and profressionals over 30. They had 8 or so beers on tap, some of which were different from the Bethlehem location. The two I had were solid and enjoyable. They also have a small but nice selection of micros in the bottle, including Two Hearted, Siberian Night, Stone IPA, Chimay, etc. I ordered some Honey Mustard wings which were excellent. Service was good as well. I did not go to the downstairs bar. I liked this place a lot, and will definitely return.

Took a trip here over the weekend. The place has a neo modern look and feel to it, and the crowd seemed to be on the upscale side of things, fairly well dressed with trench coats and whatnot. We sat in the cozy upstairs area and had a great view of the bar below. The beer selection was 8 strong, and all were well above average, with several being outstanding, including the Hop Explosion, porter, and wit. The food was absolutely delicious. The bruschetta and meatloaf were the best I have ever had, bar none. Service was great, and I felt bad that our server had to go up and down the stairs so many times. This is a top notch place that I will make a point of returning to at least bimonthly. Well worth a trip.

Nice, new brewpub with a modern, somewhat upscale feel. 9 beers on tap. Service was pretty good but it was empty. Beers were all pretty solid and the food was also pretty good- although the menu didn’t seem too adventurous. definitely worth a stop if you are nearby.

Stopped by on Saturday around 2pm. Not busy at all. 10 beers on the beer menu but they were out of 2 of them. Located right in the center of lovely Allentown. Food was good. I loved the garlic on all the vegetables!

Newly opened, only a few weeks or months. Modern metal and wood design, with a green light table bar that hurts my eyes. Better beer selection than the Bethlehem location since the brewer is focusing on this newly-opened location. On tap was the Hop Explosion and witbier + others I can’t remember. Overall a nice place, a little too much like a club, but decent enough for a good beer or two.
