For an uninspiring hole-in-the-wall, place has a pretty nice variety of beer. As I have said before, it is always nice to find a place in PA that sells singles. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Prices, especially given the neighborhood, were shockingly high. Much higher than at Abe’s.

Checked out the place on arecent trip back home, found out about it on here. I lived in the area for years and never knew it existed. Tucked back, a place I typically would never have a reason to venture to. Walked in and my first impression was set on the shelves filled with bottles. Not just any bottles but a good selection of Avery and a decent amount of 3 Floyds. The owner was very friendly and helpful told me the recent items on sale and was there if I needed help. When I looked at the nice collection of 3 Floyds and Avery area I noticed that they are right in the front of the door with the sun beating in on most of them with some dust. Walked around and saw alot that I wanted but the prices were a little pricey on alot of the items (Dreadnaut IPA - $13.99). Alot of St. Bernadus, Rochefort, etc. I took the advise of my fellow raters and checked out the dates on a lot of the bottles I was looking at. Some IPA’s were dated 2004. I did find some nice Tripels and Dubbels dated a couple years located away from direct sunlight. This is a nice little hole in the wall with a great selection for a store/bar in PA. I filled up my needs for IPA’s by alot. I recommend if your in the area.

A nice selection of singles. US craft beers, belgians, etc. Expensive and dirty though (I think the coating that was on most of the bottles was actually from cigarette smoke from the small crappy bar in the next room). I also agree the stuff could have been a little more organized. But the owner seemed friendly. If in the area and I need to pick up some singles to rate I would stop back in. Not far from Shangy’s either. They also have a small selection of glassware. Must have some connection to Shangy’s is my guess.

Cramped and a little dusty n dirty but hey, I’m buying bottles, not filet, right?!? Selection was outstanding but organization left much to be desired. Prices are a little high, but here in PA the opportunity to buy singles is few and far between so don’t mind paying the higher price. The owner asked me if I needed assistance and I told him no and he gave me lots of space. When I did have questions, he was more than happy to answer and even go in "the back" a couple of times to check for me. Would I go back...ABSOLUTELY!

A little hole in the wall place, with a great selection. They sell singles and six packs which is great to try differnt beers without a major investment.

one of only 2 places in the Lehigh Valley where you can buy singles...a feat that is accomplished by there being a small lunch counter in the back. a very good selection, probably 200 bottles or more, including some imports and west coast micros..the room is small and cluttered, and there is no real organization to the shelves. the owner is the cashier, and seems pretty knowledgeable, but never comes out to help you. but the worst part of the place is the prices....they are able to charge bar prices since they serve food, so a single bottle of something like WWS runs about 9 bucks for a 12oz.

When I was in Pennsylvania visiting, I heard about this place and was somewhat skeptical. While I was growing up, it was right under my nose, but I never thought of stopping in because it didn’t look like much on the outside. But once I got in, I was very impressed by the diverse, single-bottle selection that was available. I concur with the other raters that it is a bit pricey (about 20% more than what I see in Florida) but that may be due to PA laws governing the distribution of beer or other such nonsense. Still I picked up 3 bottles by Three Floyds since I haven’t seen them in Florida (but have read about them here at ratebeer.com). If you’re in the area and want to try beer without having to buy a case, I recommend stopping here.

Lots of variety, but pricey. Although a nice solution to buying a case at a time. Not a bad stop when looking for something different.

Lots of singles for sale (considering this is PA). Only downside is that everything is high priced. Belgians, micro brews, etc. Looks like another hole in the wall PA beer distributor from the outside, what a nice surprise inside.
