| TheCaptain (32), Lancaster, Pennsylvania | | November 20, 2009 We have eaten and drank here several times. Place is clean and service was always great. Need to catch more of the special release beer dates. Had their standard line up available with Oatmeal on cask. 2 dollar drafts on thursdays yea! Good food selection but prices can be on the high side, although cheaper than iron Hill! Decent beers and a swinging bar area after 5 PM. Worth a stop. | | NewBelgium5 (12), , Pennsylvania | | June 11, 2009 Brewpub whos food is pretty good. They have typical American dishes and some pastas etc. The beer is all brewed there and I have had the sampler a few times, and enjoyed it every time. | | Jsawyer (21), Glenside, Pennsylvania | | March 7, 2009 Went there for $2 pints on thursday night. A little loud, but obviously popular with the young professionals, service started a little slow due to the volume but was perfect by the end of the evening. Beer was ok, nothing medicinal or putrid, but it was no iron hill. There was also not a huge selection of beers, maybe eight or so. The special made up for it though. Not something to go out of my way for but I’ll certainly go back if I’m in the area. | | JFGrind (64), Glenside, Pennsylvania | | February 7, 2009 I’ve been curious about Rock Bottom KOP for a while now. A friend of mine goes a regular basis and tells me about various specials that are on going @ Rock Bottom. He also likes the beer and has offered me samples through growlers which he pays under ten bucks for. I decided to take a non-beer geek business client there for lunch. He enjoyed the food. numerous TV’s in the bar area, and the beer. Waitress service was adequate and my only complaint would be (if I found a hair in my beer) was the Friday day shift bartender needs a haircut. It’s a brewpub in a mall that delivers good value. That works for me! | | FanwickMike (33), | | September 2, 2008 on beer tour, 09/01/08. Located in the huge King of Prussia mall, easily found, no wait, good service. I ordered the beer sampler, $8.00, 10 beers (including a barley wine). Lumpy Dog light lager was perhaps the best light beer I’ve ever had, very crisp, nice bitterness. Porter was good , as was the IPA, both on tap and from the cask. This may be a chain brewpub, but it is certainly a well run place with good beer. Food also was well done I had the flank steak chili, which was good (although a few chipotle or habanero peppers would help), and my wife had a chicken wrap which she enjoyed for dinner and I later ate for lunch! A good value from all angles. | | illinismitty (224), Nashville, Tennessee | | February 15, 2008 [ Updated February 20, 2008 ] I was really hoping to hit General Lafayette, but the freezing rain just made it too risky to drive out there. This brewpub was right near the Hampton Inn, where I was staying for the night. It was not very crowded, probably because it was a Tuesday night and the weather was bad. Ambiance is your typical chain brewpub, but it is well done and clean. The bar is long and spacious, with all the current beers up on a large chalkboard, listing the name, style, ABV, and description. They have about a dozen beers on tap, including an engine. Most of the beers were very solid and enjoyable. The bartender was ok. He kept the beers coming, but was not very sociable. I did not eat, but the food looked decent. I would return again if I needed a quick beer near the hotel. Rocl Bottom may be a chain, but each location brews it’s own beers. I have yet to visit one that is bad. Put the snobbery aside and stop in for a brew or two. | BrewManHere (5), Pennsylvania does not count - explanation | | March 10, 2007 Great food. You won’t find better food in a brew pub.
Good beers. Could use a little more variety. Very nice spot. | | JB175 (43), Bucks County, Pennsylvania | | October 14, 2006 Stopped in when it wasn’t crowded. Looks like alot of other Rock Bottoms with customary menu. About 8-9 beers available, more than the RB I used to go to in Bethesda MD. Tried the IPA and Marzen from cask. Bartender was friendly. About the best you could expect for a mall place, but at least its not a Friday’s. Will have to come back again. | | PWalk (10), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania | | June 30, 2005 I like the ballpark pretzels. But the beer is only decent at best. Very crowded. | | Hawksfan17 (46), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania | | June 24, 2005 This place isn’t bad, they have ok food and I had a problem with service once, but I have yet to try a beer here. |
