The beer selection is weak, with not many rotating brews... kinda gets old quick... i usually only go for their specials, wing night is decent and is usually pretty busy... service is lacking at times, it just seems they don’t have enough people EVER working to deal with the crowd in the evenings... Price of brews is kinda expensive for the quality, i usually just drink the Hop Hog, or Strawberry Wheat... I would only recommend this place during happy hour

Visited on a beer tour 08/17/08. Arrived a little early, but they opened up and let us in (myself and my wife), which we appreciate! I ordered the sampler, 10 beers, 4 of which were pretty good. The HopHog IPA, Milk Stout (my favorite), Rooster Rye, and the Fest Beer. I ordered the white chili, which was very good, and my wife had the quesadilla she liked that as well. The best part of the trip was a tour of the facility by Bill Moore, a brewer who was very informative and humorous as well. In addition to his fine presentation, once he heard we were on a beer tour, he preceeded to provide directions to other breweries in the area he thought we should visit, and spoke with us concerning beer for about 15-20 minutes. I should mention also the brewpub itself, which I found very appealing. Housed in an old tobacco warehouse, the brewery portion of the facility is very visible to the public, as you basically span over top of it! A very entertaining and enjoyable visit, and the milk stout is highly recommended.

Lancaster is a middle class small city of 100,000 that has some conferences and is a throughfare for other travellers on the I-95. . Not much to do in the town, but now that there is an Iron Hill, it will likely get even more traffic. The place is a decent size, though most patrons by 9 pm were drinking outside. The basement was where I was for the homebrew monthly meeting. Everyone said hello which shows you the quality of life makes up for a lot of big city ammenities. The beers were about the same quality as the bottles, average. Service was friendly and alert without being meddling. Decor was alright.

Rough hewn plank floors, high ceilings and lots of natural light. It’s kind of a rough-around-the-edges, but ultimately friendly type of place. I was stuffed from an earlier meal, so I didn’t eat, but my family enjoyed everything they had. We were in a bit of a rush and the server made sure that we got out on time, which was a nice touch. The beers are serviceable, but many of the lagers taste virtually identical. Highlights were the milk stout and the IPA, which is much better on tap than in the bottles. Great prices and a great place to come down a few and enjoy some tasty pub food.

I like the LBC. In general, I will say that it is a busy, noisy place. Service is OK, not wonderful. The beers are good, and the food is really good. On Friday nights they have free wings, but the place is packed.

My family and I have been coming to this place since it originally opened as Lancaster Malt Brewing Co., probably 15 years ago. We mosr recently visited 8/30 and 8/31 for lunch and dinner. There were 9 of their beers on tap; 6 of their standard beers and 3 seasonals. Nice old building that has retained much of its character. The copper-covered tables are neat. Very good diverse menu. I had the fish and chips for dinner, which was very good. Nice big piece of fish. For lunch the next day, I had the ahi tuna salad with sesame seeds, which was also quite good. Parking can sometimes get a little tricky, and the building is bordered on one side by a one way street, which can be a pain. Overall enoyable and worth the visit.

July 2007 - Return visit after many years. Stopped by for an after-lunch draft. Service was very friendly and johnny-on-the-spot. Beers were good, too. Didn’t eat. Would definitely visit again when in the area.

Seems like everyone in our party enjoyed the food and their hand crafted brews. Seems like this place is worth the stop, I paid $10 for 10 - 5 ounce samples in the beer sampler - a very good price. Service seemed alright, however the waitress was pretty unaware of beer lingo. A friend asked for an IPA and she wondered what that was...

Nicely remodeled warehouse, a great place to have a meal & enjoy a few great beers, the selection of beers include about six year-round offerings and two or three seasonals, nice mix of appetizers from onion rings to hummus, the burger was pretty good, the fries were great, but the pizza I had was even better, very thin crust & lots of toppings, service was great, very attentive, easy to find, overall a great place for dinner or just hanging out for a few pints

A nicely rebuilt old warehouse building with wooden plank floors. The brewery protrudes the restaurant floor. Quite noisy. 8 beers on draft ranging from poor to OK. I had an OK steak, and the service was OK.
