Nice place in a sort of odd location. Nice bottle shop. Its small but there are some good beers to be had. They are very good about seasonal beers. Food is standard pub food. Service is okay and in all honesty its just a bar with good beer. TVs and sports are on and it feels pretty standard. They do events. I’ve never been but would like to.

This is the Blue Dog’s first location (the second being the Tavern in Chalfont). It’s a dimly-limit, smokey, dive-sports-bar atmosphere. The service is inconsistent. They have a couple of bar tenders that are very good, and a bunch of others that are awful. The owner, Chris, and the manager are very enthusiastic about beer, and they keep a rather good selection of bottled beers for takeout that rotates frequently. The tap selection is hit-or-miss. Sometimes it’s very good, and other times just average. In all, I would say this location has the better beer selection. The food is only okay. However, they do have a couple of stand-out items on the menu. The tuna bites are good, and their vegetarian dishes are always good. Overall, it’s the beer selection that makes the place worth visiting. They do have a beer tasting the first Friday of every month. You get a free promo glass if you buy one of the featured beers, which are usually $2 a pint.

This is located at the end of strip center and is easy to miss. As soon as you walk in, the carry out coolers are to the right. Selection was not as big as I was expecting, but they had some nice beer. Lost Abbey, Dieu De Cel, DFH, and regional beers. Inside is a dimly lit bar area with booth seating for dining. Tap selection was just ok when compared to the competition, and was a bit too loud and smoky for me to stay long.

A little different from their chalfont place. Some harder to find stuff: Avery Mephistopholes, St. Bernardus, Great Divides, Smuttynose Imperial, Three Floyds, Chimays, Chouffe’s, Southampton, Rows of Dogfish Heads. Drafts weren’t that special but I had a Fuller’s on Handpump which was nice. My cheesesteak was awesome and the staff was great.

Not a bad pub. Decent selection of drafts. They have some imports and crafts as well as bmc. So you can go there with other who like swill. Decent food and a nice atmosphere.

I try to stop in here once a week since it’s just around the corner from my work. With the PA case laws this place is great since they have a number of coolers of just singles (American Craft, Belgian and other various imports). The food is pretty good too, your basic pub foods (burgers, wings, and various other sandwiches). They have some meals on the menu too.

People kept telling me to check this place out, especially since it is only 5 minutes away from me. As soon as you walk in there are about 4 or 5 coolers full of singles (big deal if you live in PA!). Nicer selection. I also hear that they rotate frequently - there might be something different a week later. They also fill Growlers and have a beer brewed by legacy specifically for them. Worth a stop if live around here.
